Overall, this hotel represents great value for money. As other reviewers say, the outside doesn't knock you over straight away; however the inside of the hotel is very well furnished. Overall an excellent experience.
Location
The Hotel is located on the edge of Galway city centre. It's about a 15minute walk from the central area of Shop St, Quay St, etc. Expect to pay approx €6 to €8 for taxi from hotel to city. Plenty of free car parking is available at the hotel.
Rooms
Rooms are very clean and spacious with LCD TV on the wall. Wide variety of channels available.
As other reviewers say, some noise can be heard from the rooms when functions are ongoing downstairs. It's advisable to ask for a quiet room if you intend to have an early night.
Bathroom (Toilet, WC, Restroom)/Shower
Power shower with plenty of hot water, however wall mounted and extremely high up.
Bathroom clean with all basic toiletries provided. Shower Gel/Shampoo available from wall mounted unit.
Restaurant/Bars
Reasonable quality restaurant, however I would only eat there if a meal was included in the package and/or you arrive later at night. There are just too many brilliant restaurants in Galway.
Breakfast was OK with a buffet style available. Good selection of sausages, eggs, puddings, etc to make up a traditional Irish Breakfast, however a poor selection of breads, cheeses and fruit was available.
Lively Bar attached to the hotel. Live music at weekends.
Staff
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful!!!
Hope this info helps. Galway is a brilliant city, well worth a visit for a great city break or as a base for exploring the west of Ireland.
