Hotel facilities are as might be expected of a fairly generic, mid-range, modern establishment. Located on the harbour, 5-10 minutes' walk from the centre of town, the hotel is relatively quiet apart from road traffic, but views are uninspiring. Rooms seem to be clean, functional and reasonably well maintained (but perhaps not ideal for the type of guest who scrutinises every minute detail).

Booked a package online for 2 nights plus 2 breakfats and one dinner.
The hotel was very easy to find the location is excellent as you dont need to drive through the city to get there (from Dublin anyway!). Very easy to find and within walking distance of eyre square and the city centre which will save you money as you wont need any taxis.
The rooms are great - nice and spacious ours had a big double bed and a couch, lots of room and a lovely big bathroom too. very comfortable and nice blackout curtains. Lots of extras in the bathroom - e.g. toothpaste and brushes in case you for get anything
Breakfast was very good there is lots on offer and they serve until 11am so your not having to get up early.
There was only a few small things I would make people aware of:
- restaurant is listed as open til 10pm on website. arrived starving at 9.25 and was told restuarant was closed. pointed out website said (and as of today still does) say 10pm
- dinner was included with our package, was looking at the main menu and dying for a steak. however when we went to dinner we were given a set menu with no steak on it. questioned this and was advised that its the menu for packages. I was not impressed with this as it was not statsed on their website or on the website I booked through. If I pay for a package including dinner I expect the standard dinner menu I would have thought that was normal?
- parking is not free you need to pay. they do reduce the cost though ours was 8euro for two days and that was grand as in fairness what we spent on parking we saved several times on taxis.

Would definately recommend the hotel though as the location and rooms are fantastic. So easy to find and access by car and so near to everything literally 5 mins walk to jurys inn and eyre square

Room was good and clean. Room was abit stuffy so i asked for a fan and there was no hotel info booklet or menus etc so had to ask and it took awhile to get to me. Staff were abit preoccupied with big sailing race and a bus load that arrived. Right in the heart of the city and short walk to a street full of restaurants and bars.

We stayed in the Harbour Hotel for three nights over the Ocean Race week and I can safely say it was a top class choice for €65.00 per person each night (including breakfast). Check in was exceptionally efficient. Our Room was very comfortable with excellent amenities and had a great view of the docks and all the Race Village. Breakfast was good on all the mornings and we ate in the restaurant on our first night, and the food was excellent and very reasonably priced at €25.00 per person for a four course meal. The bar was very lively each night, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and there was great chat and banter over a few drinks in the bar . This will be our choice when we return to Galway again and I reccommend it to everyone else as well.
