Overall a great stay. The rooms are not huge, but they are comfortable and very clean. The staff was responsive and helpful to all our requests.

The hotel provided an above average menu. The bar was nice and stayed open until beyond midnight for guests. It is very convenient to Galway and we felt safe walking to and from our hotel after a late meal or pint.

No complaints at all. Would definitely return when we are back in Galway.

regulars to this hotel! comfortable clean and a stones throw from town,all you could ask! but my last visit was expensive approx 185 euros 1 night in dble b/b and no big events on locally ,and the breakfast was cold and uninviting . will go back though ive tried at least 8 others over the years and allways found this one comfortable!!!

We stayed in the Harbour for 2 nights over the August Bank Holiday weekend. We were staying there as a part of two couples but many of our other friends were staying elsewhere in the city for the racing festival. The location could'nt be better, its only a short stroll to Eyre Square. We didnt have much contact with the staff as we were out and abour for most of our stay but the girls on reception were very helpful and pleasant.
I have read other reviews which mentioned the noise levels and to be honest we did'nt here a thing - but really if you are staying in the centre of a busy city there is going to be street noise so if you want peace and quiet you will have to sacrifice on the central location.
Some of our friends were paying the same rate that weekend to stay in a B&B which was at least 30 mins walk from the city centre.
If we travel to Galway Races next year I will definately be giving the Harbour a call.

We stayed here midweek in early July. Iit took us ages to find it, but on arrival front staff were very plesent. We booked it because of the reviews on here.
Very central to everything, Had one drink when we went back to the bar, we were the only ones there and the barman was very friendly.
Had breakfast following morning, I love an egg soft so ask the waitress if she would get one for me. I was nearly finished my breakfast and ask her again for it, which she didn't seem a bit happy about. It arrived eventually (waited 20mins for it) and I informed her I had finished my breakfast and didn't need it. She took it away without one word. I was fumming !! A bit of manners goes along way and I must say it didn't happen here for me.
Other than that I had no complaints about this Hotel. A very nice stay, rooms are lovely.
