The hotel is a 3-5 minute walk into the city center. The hotel staff is very nice and helpful. They set up transportation for us in the morning. They even served a late night cap after the bars was closed.

My wife and i had a very enjoyable visit to the Harbour from the 3rd to 5th September inclusive. A hotel with friendly and helpfull people, from- Dan and team in reception to -John and crew in the restaurant and a very efficient cleaning team.
As we were not using our own wheels we found the hotel very central -15 minutes from bus and train station also just stroll round the harbour and over the bridge towards Salthill and you can walk to your hearts content along the coast
Lets not forget Galway City itself a bustling friendly town good for shopping and just having a good time.
Trying hard to work up a good complaint but " sorry cant find one"
We would not hesitate going back to the Harbour Hotel

We stayed at the Harbour Hotel for two nights in late August. The staff were really friendly and helpful, from trying to get us reservations at Ard Bia at Nimmo's to answering what seemed to be silly questions (e.g., how the car park works - they stamp your ticket to exit and put the minimal charge [5 euros] on your room account - or does the hotel have air conditioning in the guest rooms - no). The hotel is a little pricey, but most locations in Galway are; however, one might expect air conditioning in the rooms during the Summer (if you are used to it in hotels) for the price paid. The rooms are comfortable, yet basic; same goes for the bathrooms. That being said, the walk to Shop Street or the Spanish Arch is not far, maybe 8 to 10 minutes, and so the location is great. Also, the hotel lobby, restaurant, and bar are modern, colorfully decorated, and nice places to end an evening or begin the day. A big thanks to the staff for providing us with a pleasant stay!

Room Tip: We stayed in a double room, but did not upgrade to a superior double. We faced the front of the hote...

My extended family of 10 stayed during July. There was nothing that the staff would not do for you. I was injured in the week before I stayed and was in constant pain, staff fetched ice at all hours to assist with pain relief. They were very kind and not once made me feel that any request was an imposition. It felt like a family run place but had all the luxury of a contemporary hotel along with the extensive buffet that seasoned travellers have come to expect but rarely receive. Wholly recommend, worth every penny.

Room Tip: All rooms very similar, we were on first floor right above a wedding reception and were not disturbe...

This hotel is really beautiful. For two people sharing it was fantastic value!
We stayed for one weekend night and we cannot find a fault ANYWHERE!
The hotel has a modern interior along with a modern exterior.
The hotel rooms were spotless and very confertable! (Especially the beds!)
The restaurant was very clean and the food was excellent! (Along with the brilliant breakfast buffet).
The hotel was in a very convenient location and within a walking distance of the city.

Thanks to everyone at the hotel!

We had an overnight stay at the harbour hotel. Everything was good. The hotel is modern, tasteful and clean. We had an evening meal and breakfast. Both good. The staff are helpful and friendly. We asked for a quiet room and got one. The location is superb, just a short walk to the city centre. Because it is so close would probably advise eating in one of the nearby restaurants. Only slight gripe was we had to pay for overnight parking in the hotel car park - only €5. Would definately stay here again when visiting Galway city. V. happy.
