I booked this hotel because I couldn't find anything centrally located in Galway for my price range. The Galway Arts festival was just wrapping up and the Races we're beginning the day we checked out. I didn't see a lot of reviews on this hotel, but the ones I did see weren't that great. I wanted to write that my husband and I didn't disapprove of the Ibis Galway at all. My only real gripe was that all of the vending machines and the computer with internet access were out of order. I was starting to think they didn't repair things very often and that the elevator would break down soon. Other than that the rooms were pretty basic and clean. There wasn't a lot of fancy furniture, mostly IKEA quality/style desks and chairs. On the TV I was surprised to find a German language and French language station on the menu since there were only 7 channels all together. I couldn't complain, though. It was a very resonably priced hotel and there were many families with children. There was a lounge with a small resident's bar and restaurant too. In my opinion it is a good place to stay if you don't plan on spending much time in your room.
