We were slightly concerned about staying at the Jurys Inn after reading the bad reviews. We stayed on St Patricks night and we were worried that it was going to be busy and it a state of chaos.
Our room was fine; clean, newish and had a lovely view looking at the rushing water. Excellent shower and we had cable tv.
No issues with noise, despite being on the busy front side and considering the festivities going on late into the night, did not hear a thing - but, this may be due to us actually being out amongst it all!
Seems to be quite a family orientated hotel, lots of kids around when we checked in, was almost like a kids bday party in the lobby/restaurant! All well behaved but did feel like we were in a creche. Families may like this hotel as some rooms had a fold out couch making another double bed, making it very convenient for people with kids.
Hotel has a restaurant and bar on the entrance level. The security were very good, no entry into the lobby without proof you were staying at the hotel. Made us feel very safe. They may only do this on festival style nights though...
Only complaints would be: no breakfast, no room service, the heating was on and it was like a sauna, and checking in and out was a long process. The parking fee of €10.00 I found a little steep. We paid a premium to stay here but the location is what makes this place work. It is in the centre of the action.
