really horrible...
i'm italian.
to italian people you must not give 20 grams of bread for dinner and then say that's finished!!!! and one litre of tap water for a table of 14 persons,is conceivable only in africa...
and if i order chips, and clearly i'll go to pay for this damned chips,it's simple out of mind that the waitress snorts at me and says "i've to ask to kitchen if it's possible
no tableclote, and, believe me, the tables arre not shinig for hygiene!!!!
maybe the hotel (?!?) was really poor of dishes. don't put down your fork if you don't want that the waitress rubs your dish under your nose...
the rooms are great looking, but... the water close was out of order...
they give us only one key card, so if one of us want to go to sleep, the other one was obliged to go to sleep, also if he doesn't want to.
really an awful experience. believe me.

I stayed there recently.
Great location, but other than that it is pretty basic.
Right beside Quay Street, the main area for bars, nightclubs, restaurants.
It is easy very to find and they have their own car park.

Stayed in Jury's Inn on 12 July 08. Location would be the only reason I would recommend this place, and even then you pay through the nose for it.
Arrived at 15.45 and one of our rooms was not ready! This is just ridiculous given that check out is around 11.
The room itself was clean, although the sheets were not.
Bathroom is shabby with peeling bathtub and sink and grubby shower curtain. No soap/ conditioner/ shampoo/ shower caps available, just one tube of stuff that was supposed to fulfill all these needs. Hand towels were almost same sizae as bath towels. although there was plenty of them.
My room overlooked back garden but because there are only the black out curtains (not net ones) I had to dress in the bathroom as anyone outside would have been able to see me.
Breakfast was ten euro extra which was then raised to 12 euro because we didn't opt for it when we checked in!??!?! Breakfast was warm and rubbery (hot food) with flies crawling all over the pastries.
I had to ask THREE times for an ice bucket, it was only when a receptionist heard me complaining to another guest that she got up and actually looked for me.
Parking in the hotel FOR GUESTS cost 10 euro per day.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless you like Travelodge standards at rip off prices.

We just returned from a 10 day tour of Ireland where Galway was our second stop.

The location was spectacular: right on the water, across from the Spanish Arch, steps to shopping, dining and fun pubs. The location, however, was the best part about Jurys.

The reservations were made three months ago for two non-smoking rooms. However, when we arrived, we were told that non-smoking rooms were unavailable, and they'd try to contact us with no response. This is simply untrue.

In any event, they put us in smoking rooms so heavily sprayed with air freshener that you could taste it. Not only did the rooms smell of stale smoke, they smelled of chemical flowers.

The room itself was a decent size, but the bed was tiny, and you got the very distinct feeling that you would do well to not touch the bedspread, the pull out couch, the shower curtain or the towels.

On a side note, we all got sick on this trip. We and the other couple we traveled with each ended up with a cold. I, however, ended up with sinusitis and conjunctivitis. I bet that I got the conjunctivitis at Jurys Inn.

Just like the Trinity Capital Hotel we stayed at in Dublin, the only redeeming quality of Jurys was the location.
