We stayed at Jury's Inn for three nights in May 2008. It was definitely good value for the money. They had no safe in the room but safety deposit boxes were available at security. They had no iron in the room but I think if I had called reception they would have supplied one.
The location was absolutely perfect. Parking was at a charge of $10 euros per day but attached to the hotel and secure which was great. Internet was also at a charge but with the reasonable price of the room it was acceptable to pay extra.
The very best thing about Jurys in Galway is the location, right next to the pedestrian section of town which is loaded with shops, pubs and restaurants. When we needed ice the bar staff was extremely helpful in supplying a wine cooler of ice for us.
The rooms were clean, if not exactly smarly decorated. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was just fine, not the best we had in Ireland but perfectly acceptable. They were the only hotel that offered Dublin Cheese on the breakfast buffet. Thank you so much. They were also the only place in Galway that I found serving Kilkenny beer on tap.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to any one visiting Galway.
