“Should be better”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2013

Maxwell's doesn't know what it wants to be! It has an amazing location, just off Eyre square and the outside of the building looked good. However, the restaurant decor missed by some margin. It could have gone funky and diner or palm court elegant but it simply looked like a shop with some tables put into it.
The food was adequate although the chowder was excellent. The staff were lovely friendly ladies abd if they had some support from management and the kitchen they could make a go of it.

“Friendly staff, tasty food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2013

I had brunch here yesterday and it was lovely. The staff were friendly and there was a friendly atmosphere in the restaurant. My eggs were perfectly poached and the bacon was nice, if a tad salty for my taste. The freshly squeezed orange juice was really nice. I would certainly recommend this restaurant and would return.

“Don't waste your money”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013 via mobile

I find it really hard to believe that this place has got so many good reviews! We decided to try here one afternoon it was not at all busy but our food took ages to come out, at least 20 minutes. When it finally came it was boring and tasteless, not good at all. Left us wishing we'd just gone to supermacs around the corner would have got better food for half the price! Honestly there are much better places to eat in Galway so don't waste your money here

“Delicious food and lovely, friendly staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

We love going to Maxwell's as a family. The food is always fresh, delicious and ideally portioned. The staff are always kind, courteous and very obliging. As a youngish family the atmosphere is always child friendly and we really enjoy sitting in the circular booths too. The lunch special is fantastic value too! Can't wait to visit again :)
