“great Find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2013

If you eat at one Bistro in galway this is the one. great fresh seafood and excellent service. We had heard and read about Oscars and decided to give it a go we booked for 8pm but because we were running late had to rebook this was no problem to the staff who were very helpful and understood our predicament We ordered off the days special menu and were not disappointed the food was fresh and beautifully cooked and presented, the staff especially the head waiter were extremely knowledgably about the food and wine and the service was superb.

“Outstanding”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2013

We chose this restaurant because of the great reviews on trip advisor, and we're absolutely delighted that we did.The service and the food were exceptional. We got great value from the early bird (15e for 2 courses),and we were not limited in our choices. My seafood vol o vont was so delicious - it was the first time I have not asked my husband for a taste of his steak. We had to try dessert - ordered a chocolate brownie, and expected the usual choclately cake - but it was out of this world delicious. Our waitress was also exceptionally lovely and knowledgeable. We will difinantly be back, Maybe move to Galway.

“Great food, good choice of gluten free items”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

Really wanted to try a seafood place in Galway and this was highly recommended! Mains were really good and waitress had a good knowledge of coeliac friendly options. Loved the mussels and scallops but the white wine sauce was a bit too salty! Desserts were absolutely delicious and overall a good experience and would recommend it!

“The Best of Galway Seafood”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2013

Oscar's never disappoints, top class food and service everytime. Every dish I've tried is superb. Love their chowder and battered fish, real comfort food. Interior decor a bit over the top but comfortable all the same. Always busy so would recommend booking in advance.
