Our stay was amazing at St. Martin's B&B. We arrived one day early, and we called to check if we could come anyhow. Mary, the owner and wonderful host, went out of her way to accomodate us. The rooms are great; large, confortable beds, dressers, small tv, alarm clock, hairdryer and a full bathroom with a nice shower (with enough water pressure!) Breakfasts were delicious and more than enough to last until mid afternoon. Mary serves a full Irish breakfast, with eggs, bacon|ham, hashbrowns, small sausages and black pudding if desired with toast, cereal, tea and coffee. Although there are two tourist information locations in the city, Mary suggested some great sightseeing and the best tours to visit the Burren and the Cliffs of Moher. This place was really a home away from home and we would suggest it to anyone stopping in Galway!

This was my first trip to Ireland and I doubt I could have chosen a better B&B in Galway. Mary, her husband and their dogs were more than welcoming and full of helpful tips about the area. Tubbs and Millie were adorable and very fun to play with in the morning. Our room was very clean and cozy with a nice view of the river/waterfall behind the house. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast each morning with a beautiful view of the garden. There is no parking, but Mary directed us to some free spots behind the Cathedral and we left our car there for the entire weekend without any problems. St. Martin's is located in an ideal spot; everything seemed to be in walking distance. I would recommend this place to anyone! Thank you for a great stay!

My three friends and I visited Galway and had the pleasure of staying at St. Martin's. Mary and Tubbs (Mary's dogged, named as such because "he is just SO fat!") greated us warmly and showed us to our family-style room. The room was very welcoming, though a bit small for four adults. Nonetheless, the comfortable beds, cute decorations, and delicious breakfast made our stay at St. Martin's quite perfect. As a bonus, this B&B is a stone's throw from the Quay's and the heart of Galway. Free parking is located just down the street, but no car is needed to explore Galway. Mary's garden, overlooking the River Corrib, is lovely, too (a nice bonus and perfect place to enjoy a relaxing breakfast before a busy day).

Many thanks, Mary!

St. Martin's was gorgeous from the moment I saw it. It's a beautiful older building covered with flowers and plants, right on the river, with a fantastic waterfall right outside the window. The location is perfect - a block away from the heart of town. And our host Mary was so sweet! Spend some time talking with her and playing with Tubbs, her chubby little dog. Don't miss this great place to stay!

This B&B is conveniently located right across the river from the center of town--you can't beat that. The garden facing the river is lovely, and the hostess is friendly and welcoming. Our room was located on the first floor, and was fairly dark--it was clean and fairly comfortable, but we prefer a bit brighter and upscale rooms, personally. However, the price was great, and for just a two-night stay, it fit the bill.
