“Did not live up to what we expected”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2012

Cons
1. Sunrise was about 4.00am (and this was only late spring) with 1 hour twilight before that and the curtains did not block out any of this light. We had to sleep wearing our eye masks on (luckly we had some). So we did not sleep well the entire time we were there (four nights).
2. We could not get the water temperture right for the shower. It was too cold if you did not boost and too hot if you did.
3. They did not supply any coffee, tea, suger etc. This was the only place we stayed on our holiday that did not supply these things. We did not get a welcome basket of starter foods.
4. They did not supply aluminum foil to replace the foil in the oven and grill.
Pros
1. Located close to beach and shops.
2. Very secure and free secure car parking is available.
3. Free Wi Fi that works well.
4. The apartment was roomy and quiet.
5. They had a DVD player. Most of the other places we stayed did not have one.
These comments are about apartment 5.
We have stayed in better places.

Room Tip: Take your eye masks.

We spent 3 nights here recently with two small kids. We found the apartment to have everything we needed and were extremely impressed they provided a welcome basket of starter foods (a loaf of bread, butter, cereal, sliced cheese milk sugar, tea, coffee, etc). This was fabulous after a long-flight. They also had kids DVDs to lend us which was a great treat for the kids.

Everything was well maintained, and I can't think of thing that I wish they would have had in the room.

We've just returned from our second visit from Jameson Court Apartments and are even more impressed than previously. We received such a warm welcome and the minor problem we had on check in (nothing more than a burnt out lightbulb, mind you) were sorted out immediately, despite them being obviously very busy. Kids DVDs on tap, Easter eggs brought to the door, welcome baskets at the ready - it's nearly better than staying with family. The only downside might be the slightly lumpy beds and duvets. But that's only a small, subjective comment compared to the wonderful experience. I couldn't recommend them more.

This placed looked good on the website and was actually just as good in reality! Our apartment did not seem as large as some of those shown in the pictures on the site, but it was well furnished and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped with all you'd need to self cater. It is worth paying the extra for a sea view apartment as the view is lovely and they are situated at the back of the building away from the noise of Upper Salthill. The Wi-Fi works well. They also include a welcome Grocery pack which is a lovely touch and very handy when you first arrive. We stay in lots of apartments (much preferring them over hotels) and this really was up with the best of them.

We (3 adults) enjoyed a two night stay in a two bed apartment with a sea view and we were absolutely delighted with our experience. The very friendly receptionist (Mary) showed us to a stylish and spacious apartment , spotless & well maintained with quality linens and toiletries, a very well equipped kitchen and a decent sea view. The location is excellent for Galway city and the stunning west coast. There are plenty of shops and dining option nearby and the secure underground parking at no extra charge is a great benefit. We arranged an early check out with the owner Jonathon which made our departure hasttle free and we look forward to staying again soon.

Room Tip: We requested a seaview and we got exactly what we booked!

Stayed 2 nights early in the New Year, family of 4 .
Property was well maintained , large rooms with plenty of space , very good kitchen facilities , 2 bathrooms . ( friends of ours stayed on the 5th floor in the penthouse which was even bigger ! ) Free underground parking was a great bonus . Close to shops & all amenities . A really good place to stay .

Room Tip: Fantastic sea views from some apartments

My husband and our two young sons (aged 3 and 4) stayed here over the Christmas holidays while visiting family in Galway. I was so pleasantly surprised by the apartment, the amenities, and the ready helpfulness of the owner, Jonathan. The location is very good for both Galway city (Galway traffic is bad, though), as well as the beaches and woods of toward Barna and scenic drives beyond. If you're travelling with kids, you're on the doorstep of the aquarium, the prom, Leisureland, and a good playground. Salthill also has plenty of restaurants and supermarkets to keep you stocked and occupied. I'm sure we'll be back and I would be very happy to recommend this place to others, with our without children.
