This is part of the Itsa group which has a number of cafes around Dublin (Malahide and IMMA among others) and has been established by Domini and Peaches Kemp, well know cookery writers and entrepreneurs. Two of us had lunch there recently and although the seating is "cosy" there is sufficient space for people with buggies. The restaurant is very clean. The bagel menu is extensive and very varied, both in terms of the contents and the type of bagel one can select. There is also soup, soft drinks, coffee and - if I remember correctly - salads available. We sampled the kind veggie bagel (obviously vegetarian with hummus, avocado, red onion, roasted red peppers, lettuce & vinaigrette on wholewheat bagel) and itsa reuben (pastrami, swiss cheese, caramelised onions, 1000 island dressing on pumpernickel bagel) with two cappuchinos. All bagels are freshly made to order in the kitchen and they taste like it! The staff were friendly and efficient. One orders at the counter, then they call your number and you collect. Presentation is good - the bagel sits on a small wooden tray which can also hold your cup of coffee. If you are on Dun Laoghaire seafront this is the cafe to visit (near the junction with Marine Road, opposite the Town Hall). Highly recommended
