You would have to be in -48 degrees to realise what an endurance it was for these men,and the photography was excellent for the time, and the exhibition has a sextant on display and a diagram on how to use it.

“Extraordinary”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2013

What a tale of courage, perseverance and stamina. It's hard to imagine the conditions these people were exposed to on their travels and it's all beautifully documented by one of the crew members. Well worth a visit.

“Well worth a visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2013

Spent an hour there today with my teenage son. We were both fascinated. Wonderful photos and really interesting short videos. Just the right amount of material. I have been to exhibitions before where the videos were too long and technical and it is easy to loose the story. This was just the right balance. I have to say that the guy at the desk was exceptionally good. His enthusiasm was clear to see and he sparked our interest even before we started. He introduced the exhibition to us with an account of the adventure and then steered us around. A great way to spend an hour on a wintery afternoon! Great value for an interesting educational experience.

“Give yourself time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2013

Give yourself time for this exhibition. The photos are fascinating and I stood for ages looking at each of them.
I live in the area and was surprised at how great this exhibition is as I had not heard that much about it. The exhibition is like a well kept secret
If you are in the least interested in photography, grit, Shackleton and his team, and or Antarctica this is a must see.

“The story you did not hear”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

I had always been interested in the Shackleton expeditions and had visited the Naval museum in Greenwich where he were lucky to see his actual row boat he used although this was not part of the public exhibits. So now to see and hear about the stories of the men he took with him and the problems they found and got over was an eye opener. Excellently laid out and explained and well worth the money.
