I again visited Rasam in November having not been there for a few years, little had changed in that it is still a beautiful setting, tasteful interior, great food and sympathetic management. We arrived at short notice after a November rugby international and were lucky to have gotten a table at short notice. Rasam to me is unique in Dublin as an Indian restaurant which serves pork, duck, seabass and not just the prawn, lamb, chicken of normal irish indian restaurants.
They had at the time just changed the menu, i am not sure if it is still the same menu, but personally i found the new menu not to have as many choices as the old one and was in my opinion not as good, don't get me wrong, it was still good, but not as good as before.
We really enjoyed our food, there was just one little problem, one of the staff was quite grumpy with us, I am not sure why this was, but it was a pity, especially as the welcome by the owner/manager and some of the staff was so warm.
I'm looking forward to my next trip to Glasthule, I'll perhaps try the early bird next time.
There is also a very good pub underneath called the Eagle House, perfect for an aperitif or even digestif...
