7 O'clock booking. Athmosphere good and have always enjoyed dining here, but was very disappointed overall. 5 family members living locally were not impressed by firstly the waitress who must have been having a bad night. Main courses excellent though portions very small. Meat and fish very good but accompanying ' Champ, gnocchi' barely visible. Ok if prices were reasonable but most main courses cost between 22 to 26 Euro. The desserts were a joke. Lemon Meringue pie was not a pie but a sliver of lemon on a piece of slate with 3 fingernails of meringue. The parfait was an icecream scoop on a teaspoon of sponge ant not a spiced anglaise in sight, the apple crumble was toasted biscuit with a spoon of apple and instead of the creamy custard, a watery cream. The chocolate mousse was ok. Too much contrived design and no substance and not cheap at 6.95 each. Previous dessert chef should be employed not amateur with pretensions. Will return to try the early bird or have dessert at home.
