“Great beer but food needs improving”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2013

Table of 13 was seated okay, but the food was a bit hit and miss. The shared wings for starter was good with large portions and tasty coatings. Some mains were nice but the mash tasted like instant mash, the chips were cold but the burgers were tasty. The ribs looked okay but dry. However, the service was okay and the pricing reasonable for Temple Bar. The beer was good (oyster stout and red).

“Dublin Night Out ”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2013

Dropped on this pub by chance, first visit to Dublin. Amazed by the size of the place great food and beer menu, take time to study beer list, sample if you wish. Food portions are huge nachos cheese board platters were great other food lovely, just too much. Too early for the music however heard good reviews. All in all great venue.

“Extensive menu of food and beer”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2013

The menu is vast in food and beer. We started out with a large suicide wings, glass of Cabernet and a wrasslers stout. The wings were plentiful and tasty but not that hot...I suggest getting one hotter than you usually would get. Then we had another Cabernet, a Brooklyn chocolate stout bottle and the H bomb burger (spicy) and the Porterhouse burger both came with choice of beef or chicken and loaded with toppings. While good burgers the buns were cold and bland (like McDonalds). The pub was hoping for a Saturday afternoon and it's larger inside than appears with different levels to sit and eat. Service was average. With plenty of other pubs available, we were glad we tried it but wouldn't go back. Bill was 59 Euros plus tip.
The beer menu is huge, must be something for everyone. Also a large whiskey menu. Food ranged from salads to burgers to wings to steaks and steak hoagies plus all the usual irish fare like bangers and mash, fish and chips and Guinness stew.

“Beer & more beer.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 24, 2013

OK. This is not a food review. Been going to this place over the years since it opened. The craft beer in here is just fabulous. Plain Porter - magnificent. You may never drink Guinness again. Then there's the Oyster Stout & the award-winning Wrasslers XXXX Stout. This place is like a comfort blanket for beer lovers. Just go.

“Good menu”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2013

good, not too expensive pub in which to eat in Temple Bar section of Dublin. Fish and chips, bangers and mash, chowder, burgers, and sticky toffee pudding or Eton mess. No more bubble and squeak, they have taken it off the menu. Good beers they make themselves. Tell them brands you like and they will suggest their microbrew equivalents. Nice friendly staff.
