Description: Just off of St Stephen's Green One Pico is one of Dublin's hottest dining destinations. But with acclaimed chef Eammon O'Reilly at the helm and a number of accolades including; "2010 Dublin Chef of The Year" by The Irish Restaurant Awards, but most importantly (in our opinion) a Toptable Gold award. One Pico isn't all about fashion and being seen in the latest hot spot. Exceptionally good service is the ideal accompaniment to stunning modern classic food all beautifully prepared on the premises and a simple, sophisticated décor where intimacy is guaranteed. A monthly changing menu ensures you'll never grow bored of One Pico's impressive seasonal cooking with its homely Irish twist.

“Delicious Birthday Treat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2013

My partner brought me here for my birthday in April. We were greeted by friendly helpful staff but it appeared as though our table had been given to someone else in error. This didn't bother us at all though as our table was fine - not too close to others or the door. The waiters for the evening were very charming & friendly without being overbearing in any way. The décor is classy which unfortunately could not be said for the clientele - a small shame. There seem to be a few 'Dublin Housewife' types - loud and brassy but that shouldn't be a reflection of the restaurant.

We had a G&T each while we decided on our meal which we followed with a very nice bottle of red (he chose so I can't remember what it was). To start he had Liscannor crab and I had quail. While his crab was lovely, very fresh and nicely seasoned, my quail was even better and melted in my mouth.

For mains he had John Dory which again was lovely and my choice of suckling pig was full of flavour and texture.

Desserts chosen were soufflé and chocolate fondant. Despite being full from the previous 2 courses I managed every bit of the fondant and enjoyed it all! The soufflé was very nice but for all courses my choices seemed to be just that bit better than his.

We finished off with 2 espressos and some petit fours which, despite looking delicious, we just couldn't fit them in. We had a lovely evening, the food was of a very high standard and the setting is lovely. The location is very central for anyone who wishes to continue on after dinner. While it was a little expensive I enjoyed myself and would recommend it.

“Hidden gem......”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2013

Excellent restaurant... Something different from the typical Dublin eateries and after 2 nights of bars etc.... This was a welcome treat.
Food was fabulous, well presented and well cooked.
One thing legit down and that was the staff. They were a little false somehow. They were pleasant and helpful but this did not come from the heart. They were doing a job and the 'love' was not there! That, sadly, let it down....

“Excellent hidden away restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2013

This restaurant was recommended by someone we met on a train when traveling back from Zermatt and it was super. We spent 2 nights doing the usual Dublin bars and restaurants and decided to try something a bit different. Well the food was just excellent. Well presented, beautifully cooked and the wine was perfect.
Only down side was the staff were a little 'false'. Friendly, but aloof. They seemed to be doing a job without their hearts being in it. So I would say 5 * for food and 3/4* for warmth and atmosphere.
