“Excellent choice of well made vegetarian dishes”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2012

The atmosphere was great at this vegetarian restaurant. People that don't know each other share tables and that just adds to the atmosphere. The cue seemed very long when we came in. But the girls behind the counter worked quickly and we soon got some delicious food. I choose the health tray with juice, pate, two kinds of salad and a soup of your choice. Everything tasted great. I would love to return to taste lots more.

“High quality vegetarian lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012

This is a fantastic place for lunch, Have been here many times and have always enjoyed the hot plates but also the salads are to be recommended. One draw back is the counter service. But as a model it seems overall to work for them. The food is a little pricey when you consider that Govinda's near by is quite a bit cheaper. However the surroundings are much better here. Also when it comes to vegetarian and vegan food it is a plus that one can see the food as some places that have vegetarian food on the menu are merely playing lip service which is quite evident when your order arrives! So all and all I think it is a great concept which is delivered quite well. I hope they can find a system that enables a slightly better service where you don't feel like you have to rush to get a good seat, especially latter in the evening. Only a little gripe in fairness!

Hi Matt,
Thanks for the review and we are glad you have enjoyed our food. I asure you that we are working towards a better service counter, I have seen the architects drawings but alas we have put building work into our new first floor dining room which has just opened. This room will have a secondary counter which will relieve some stress from the ground floor restaurant and hopefully give us time to redesign the other service area. It may take some time but the plans are in action.
Thank You!

“Unpretentious. Good organic vegetarian food.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012

Wholesome and tasty food. Crowded at lunchtimes and have to queue - worth waiting but might be hard for some people to stand too long. We will definitely go there again when in Dublin.

“Cosy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012

Unpretentious with an excellent selection of vegetarian dishes. We ordered something of everything and then shared between the four of us. there was the added bonus of a folksinger accompanying herself on acoustic guitar.

“Good value and nice food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

I wouldn't say it is a great place but in the city centre the availability of vegan food is so poor that Cornucopia is the only place. It is very casual and feels more like a diner than a restaurant.

I go every now and then when I'm in town and don't have time for a proper restaurant.

Wish the place itself was nicer plus the way the food is displayed is awkward as you can't see much through the queue.

Think it could be nicer with a bit of work and a better presentation of food.

Hi,

Thanks a million for the review. It is great to highlight to us that we need to constantly look around and see what improvements we can make. We are undertaking building work on a first floor dining & events room which will be open in the new year and it will be beautiful. This work may have distracted us from our ground floor restaurant but we will write up a list and tick off improvements in due time. We would love a new counter to show our dishes better so I will write it in capitol letters at the top of the wish list. Thanks again!
