Had lunch here yesterday with a party of eleven. Excellent value at €22.95 for three courses, although each course is also priced individually. All plates were very good and the stand-out dishes were the Thai fishcakes, which were unctuous and full of fresh fish, and the pea and bacon soup among the entrees and the Med-style monkfish on the mains. Stylish linen napery and impeccable service add to the atmosphere but the clincher is the full room and the buzz of conversation which is testament to the excellent reputation of this Dublin stalwart. The only very slight downsides were one of the slices of, otherwise excellent, bread offered had gone hard on one side from over-exposure and the wine proffered was the wrong vintage.
