While planning our tour of Ireland, we came across a great deal in a Dublin hotel and decided to take a risk and stay for 1 night as it was close to the city and to the airport. Although the hotel is recently opened, I cannot commend enough the professionalism of the staff and the welcome we received.
On entering the hotel our bags were taken off us and whisked up to our room, check in was quick and very professional and we were given plenty of information on what to do in the local area and how to get speedily into the city centre by tram.
Our rooms were bright and airy and you could tell they were new as they were pristine. The rooms has large flat screen TV’s, huge safes, proper big towels, big hairdryers and even large bottles of toiletries, plus conditioner (which was a first during our travels). Our room overlooked the Dublin mountains and was a lovely view in the morning.
We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent, well presented, hot and served with efficiency…the restaurant was pretty full, we were told that a nearby restaurant was owned by the hotel and if we fancied a change we could eat there..alas, we had only 1 night.
Breakfast was great, lots of cheeses, decent coffee and a good selection of breads and juices. We are planning our trip for next year and hopefully our first port of call will be the Louis Fitzgerald as we really enjoyed our stay and felt really cared for.
