“Surprise & Delight”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Delivers the room quality and service you'd expect from the brand. Well situated for the tourist attractions and shops.

Surprise & Delight: The restaurant. Ate a la carte and it was very fine.

Despair & Depression: Sunday breakfast was a bunfight: not enough staff on hand to even get a cup of coffee to the table.

Stayed for 3 nights in a business class room, and would find it difficult to fault this hotel. Bedrooms are large, well equipped and have large bathrooms (bath and shower). Free wireless internet was fast and reliable. Breakfast was excellent - an endless range of hot and cold selection. Didn't eat dinner in the hotel, but had drinks in the bar in the evening - decent table service, friendly bar staff and decent cocktails (which were reasonably priced for a hotel bar). Used the local gym, and whilst the gym was a bit dated, it was very well equipped.

Location of the hotel is good - coupe of minutes walk to the Grafton Street and not too far from Temple Bar.

Would recommend, and will certainly stay here when visiting Dublin again.

Having received the two night stay via an incentive at work our stay this weekend was free so I cannot comment with regards to value for money. However, the room was spacious, well presented, a huge bed (albeit with two single duvets), large shower & bath, and good hanging space. The hotel bar is reasonably priced (for Dublin) and the breakfast was fantastic. The staff were both helpful & courteous. A great location only 5 minutes walk from Chistchurch with Leo Burdock's Fish & Chip Shop and a great steak place, The Bull & Castle, nearby.

Stayed up for a week for a work trip. Staff are super professional. Room good size with lovely bathroom and shower. Interactive flat screen tv and radio with function to set up a wake up call. Breakfast is amazing here - anything you can think of is available along with a copy of the Irish Times to peruse. Ate in the main restaurant and the bar and the dinner in both was excellent and exceptional value for money for Dublin (in fact for anywhere in Ireland). I didn't bother going out to any nearby restaurant when I found this quality and value in the hotel. Gym facilities around the corner very good and provided me with towel and a padlock for the locker. Despite being up here for work the week was a pleasure thanks to the comfort provided in this hotel. I heard nothing but good feedback around me from tourists and business people alike in the bar each evening.

Room Tip: Rooms on every floor are excellent and well sized

Stayed for a week...excellent rooms and friendly, welcoming staff. Breakfasts were great and the cook was fantastic. Food was fresh and tasty.
Would have liked the first floor terrace to be opened for smokers, smoking at the front of the hotel is not a good look. Some outdoor settings and umbrellas on the terrace would have been fantastic for smokers (like Bewleys).
A great location, not far from the shops, bars etc.
A good experience.

The last place we stayed during our 14 day trip to Ireland was the Radisson Blu on Golden Lane. The location was great, service excellent with a very attentive and helpful staff. The breakfasts were amazingly delicious with a great deal of variety. We would definitely stay there again should we be fortunate enough to return to beautiful Ireland!
