“WEEKEND IN DUBLIN”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2012

Stayed in this hotel for the weekend 7th January. First class hotel for nightlife and site seeing. 5 minute walk from Temple Bar and great pubs and food. 2 minutes to city tour bus visiting all the major attractions. The hotel is excellent in all ways from its luxury toilet to great bedrooms. Excellent full buffet breakfast. I have travelled extensively and stayed in the good, bad and ugly. Would highly recommend this hotel for a stay in dublin

Room Tip: Superb Kabab shop around the corner for on the way home from the pub late at night :)

Stayed here for 1 night. Excellent location, only minutes walk from shops and restaurants. Parking for 24 hours cost €10 in underground carpark. Rooms and staff were very good. Can't comment on food as we had a room only rate. From what we did experience i would recommend.

I had booked in for a quit night with by partner after the christmas maddness we booked thru a booking agent the hotel had not recieved our booking cant bame hotel for this but did not need to be told that this was a problem they had over the christmas period they had room so we said we would book it at the rate a had recieved from the booking agent but then they asked for a deposit of 50 euro on top of the agreed rate of which was prepared to pay in full before we even went to room . i refused to pay this as i feel payment in full should do why pay extra and get it refunded it would be different if it was a stag or hen group that they think might do damage but we are a couple in our fourties looking for a quit night away, not going on a bender and going to wreck the hotel this happened at 6.30 and we had dinner reservitions at 7pm ended up going to a car park and getting changed to make reservation on time and look for another hotel at short notice .not the coustomer service anybody should recieve will not use this hotel ever again and would think hard about useing any other in group !!!1

We stayed at Radisson Blu Royal hotel in Dublin for Christmas 2011.

I really liked this hotel because the hotel is modern and decorated with good taste. The room was super clean and spacious. I liked especially the bathroom because there is a huge bath for two and a separate shower corner. The bath tub is deep and inviting. This is unfortunately not the case in many other Dublin hotels.

I was a bit worried about the location when we booked the room. I know that Christchurch area is not the best possible location in Dublin.... The hotel was however much closer to Grafton street than I thought. It was really only 5 minutes walk to Grafton Street and max 10 minutes walk to Temple Bar area. It is a central but quiet location.

Buffet breakfast was good, but nothing extraordinary. Radisson advertises this as "Super Breakfast". Because of that concept we expected the breakfast to be somehow special. We stayed at the hotel for Christmas and there were no Christmas cookies or anything referring to Christmas at the breakfast table. It was just a typical hotel breakfast.

Reception staff was always very polite and helpful. They borrowed us an umbrealla when it was raining and offered to bring a bowl for my flowers to the room. Very friendly.

The hotel did not send a Seasonal Greetings card or anything to customer rooms on Christmas day. This was the missing final touch that I would expect from a five star hotel. It is a small thing but small things matter and will be remembered.

However, I recommend this hotel for everybody who likes a modern, high quality hotel in a central location.

I have just returned from staying at this hotel for the weekend. I was very impressed with this hotel and would definitely return.

Staff were all very friendly from the staff at reception to the bar staff.

The breakfast buffet definitely lived up to its name as super buffet and there was a huge variety to choose from. The breakfast was served until 12 each day which was ideal if you had a late one the night before!

The rooms were spacious and was very impressed with the bathroom which had both a shower and a bath which is quite rare to see!! The rooms were clean and bed sheets were changed each day.

The location is excellent and is a 5 minute walk to Grafton street or dame street. St Patrick's cathedral and Christchurch are both close by.

We didn't get in the hotel except for breakfast so I can't comment on the food. We drank in the sure bar and the staff were great and offered table service.

All in all I have to say that this hotel offered everything we needed. Great location, staff and a super breakfast.

Very nice hotel in a quiet location. Stayed here for a long weekend. Had 2 business class rooms. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms lovely decor, well appointed, clean and wonderfully quiet. Bathroom was a little dark. Breakfast was delicious with a huge choice. Had dinner there one evening. It was also delicious and reasonably priced. All in all a good choice.
