“Fine for a few days!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2012

This Travelodge is clean with friendly staff. It's about a 30 minute walk into town but you can hop on a bus to and from the city pretty easily and with an unlimited 28 euro bus ticket at the airport you get airport transfer and all bus travel paid for in the city. The room was pleasant - big and clean but fairly noisy at night but it is clear that it's on a main road into the city. Try Yum for food, halfway into town.

We have stayed in various Travelodges and must say this was one of the cleanest. The room was not huge but we were only there to sleep. The only drawback was the fact that we were at the front of the property and it was very hot so we had the window open all night and it was very noisy with car alarms going off and church bells every 15 minutes. Locations was great with bus stop right outside the front door. Staff very helpful

This is a Travelodge hotel so can't be 5/5. However it is easy to find and is walking distance from town which is a bonus. They also have limited parking which is very unusual in Dublin Centre. The parking is covered and secure with CCTV for 6 Euro per night, well worth it as street parking is practically non-existent and expensive 2.40 Euro per hour!!. Our room 316 was at the front of the hotel and has traffic noise but this should not be a problem for any city dweller. The room had shower only but was clean, bright and airy, (it had 2 windows). The downside was breakfast, 7 Euro for 'continental'; branded cereals, horrible cheese portions, salami, toast Instant coffee only and no choice of teas. For some reason the tea and coffee both tasted horrible in the dining room and in the bedroom.

Travelodge Rathmine Dublin is good value for money , one of the trademarks of Travelodge . The location is great just a bus away from the city center but without the hustle and bustle of the city center .

Breakfast was a bit disappointing though , not full English like the Uk which was a bit of a let down . other than that , it was a brilliant experience :).

Stayed here for 2 nights, its in a great part of Dublin and 20 minutes walk from the city centre or 10 minutes on the bus, which stops outside the door of the hotel, room is basic but in good condition, very clean, parking is available for €6 a day and wifi available for €5, Breakfast is also available but i didnt use it so i am unaware of price. The area around the hotel is very quite at night and the staff are very helpful staff, Shops and numerous restaurants nearby. I would recommend to anyone wishing to stay in Dublin on a budget,

For a travelodge it's in a great location, had friendly staff, easy parking for the motorbike. Rooms were clean and standard Travelodge layout. Easy access to all Dublin central tourist bits and bobs. Note for bikers, they have a private electronic gate parking area at the rear which they let you use. A must in Dublin.

Room Tip: Private parking area for bikers

Stayed here for 4 days. Rooms not huge and haven't been updated for a while, but very clean and good hot shower.
Can walk into city centre, about 20 mins, or only 2 Euros for bus. Bus stops are near the Travelodge and run about every 10 minutes.
There's plenty of places to eat nearby. Or you've got a Lidl and an Aldi very near by if you want to have something cheap to eat in your room.
There's a cinema only about 5 minutes walk away, only 3 screens but a reasonable size, and the cinema is quite new.
There's a small shopping centre next to the cinema, which has a McDonalds.
There's also a Tescos near the cinema, which stays open quite late.
Would definitely stay at this Travelodeg again if i go back to Dublin
