“Cheap and well located, good parking (charge)”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

stayed here in Dec 2012, the hotel is in an excellent location, right near St. Stephen's green. Price was reasonable. Had dinner in the bar/restaurant and it was a massive portion for a great price. Great service in the bar / restaurant from the bar man who was really friendly. The room was smallish and bathroom was small also.

My only gripe was that we paid for late check in and also paid for parking, but we were charged the extra hours from normal check out time to our late check out time. Queried this with hotel but was told it was not their car park :(

Hi Themada,

Thank your for posting your review.

We are delighted to see you enjoyed your stay.

As you mention the car park is not owned by us therefore we do not have control over the cost however they do provide us with a very good discounted rate.

We do hope to see you again in the future.

This place is very well situated in Stephen's Green. Very close to the Luis (the local train) and local buses. The staff are very friendly and the bar/restaurant is very cozy and easy to deal with.

The rooms are very basic, but that's all we needed and was well worth the cost.

The only challenge we had was that the hotel room key cards kept voiding themselves out so we had to keep getting them fixed by the front desk - but it wasn't that big of a deal.

Stayed in this hotel for one night over the Christmas period. Fantastic value and location. 5 mins walk from Grafton Street. The hotel is very high spec for a travelodge, I believe it has only just been turned into a Travelodge. There is a full bar, which serves food. The rooms are spacious and well kitted out. For the price, I don't think you can beat it in the center of Dublin.

This hotel is in an excellent location. 3 mins walk to St Stephen's Green or Grafton Street, 5 mins to College Green and 10 to Temple Bar and the Liffey river. The room we were in (508) was massive, big bathroom too and was clean and quite modern. There's a cafe/restaurant on site which had Irish breakfast from 8euro, which was spot on. 24 hour reception, bar on site, friendly staff, what more could you want?! And we got a really good deal through visitdublin.com. Highly recommend!!

We stayed a few nights in Temple Bar so this hotel was lovely and quiet in comparison! Nice hotel and a good location to walk to all the essentials. Our room key didn't work but they were happy to rectify it.

This is not your average Travelodge. The rooms are comfortable, good heating, although I could not turn it below 25 C and so turned it off at night, so had a cold bathroom in the morning. I stayed 5 nights; on a couple of mornings the sink hot water tap was not really hot.
They don't have their own breakfast, and for 7 euro give a voucher for continental breakfast at Amanda J's next door. Good fruit plate, yoghurt, and muesli. Croissant not enjoyed by my wife, hard rather than soft and fresh.
Ideal location for visitors, near St. Stephen's Green & Grafton St shopping.
Rather than booking breakfast every day, explore all the options nearby - Bewley's for example, or with the money you've saved by staying at the Travelodge, treat yourself at the Shelbourne hotel breakfast.
The area is quiet, we slept well.
As others have noted there is no free wifi. They say they have a special rate at the RCSI (College of Surgeons) car park. I'd be very happy to stay here again.

Room Tip: Pay attention to the room choice - I had a split booking and had not realised I had booked a triple...
