This is the second time I've stayed at the Beacon and it was just as good as I had remembered. The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome from the start. The room was very spacious with a fabulous bathroom. The bed is definitely the most comfortable I have ever stayed in. The decor is clean and modern yet still manages to feel warm and cosy. The rooms and hotel lobby etc are spotless. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious and the bar has a great cocktail selection. It is a bit far out of town if you are likely to be in and out of the city centre - but for a nice relaxing break, I couldn't recommend more.

My only complaint would be the tv reception - this kept freezing every few minutes which got rather irritating - but as I generally wouldn't spend much time watching tv in a hotel room, it's not a major problem.

I recently stayed in this hotel and I recommend it, especially for romantic getaways.
PROS:
- The room was big and very clean.
- The personnel was friendly and helpful.
- The food at the restaurant was amazing.
CONS:
- The hotel is far from the city center but easily reachable by tram.
I will definitely visit this hotel again in the future!

First of all the welcome you receive upon arrival just puts you at ease from the moment you check in. I booked the penthouse suite highly recommended if your staying here treat yourself its worth it. Had some cocktails in there bar before dinner which were top class. Dinner in the restraunt was outstanding presentation and quality were the best i have ever had in a dublin hotel.

The hotel is ideal for going into dublin taxis are reasonable and the luas is less than 5 min walk away which brings you right into the heart of dublin city.

The whole hotel is absolutly stunning and spotless clean. They are obviouy very attentive, you never see anyone going around cleaning. The sleep quality you have is also great as there is no external or internal noise getting into your room.

The staff at the beacon know what there guests want and that is to enjoy themselves. They really make the whole experience even better. The bar is fully stocked with a great variety of cocktails, spirits, beers and wines and you will never go to bed thirsty.

I will definatly be back again soon.

Thanks guys, see you soon

I have stayed in the Beacon Hotel on many occasions for business and pleaure. It is a modern hotel that caters for all your needs. Each room has a mini bar, iron and ironing board plus a proper hairdryer not one fixed to the wall. The beds are extremely comfortable and the hotel has an oriental theme running through culminating in its Thai restaurant. If you like cocktails I defy you to find one the staff cannot make!
Easy access via the Luas train (a ten minute walk away) will get you into Dublin centre St Stephens Green within 20 minutes where you can sample the many bars, restaurants and the shops in Grafton Street. Or Dumdrum shopping centre is only 2 stops from Sandyford.

Room Tip: If you want a view go to 6th or 7th floor but can be noisy. THe rooms at the back are quieter. WiF...
