“Lovely Theatre!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2012 via mobile

Lovely historic venue. Went to see Emeli Sande most recently. Great concert as Emeli amazing and venue small and intimate. Previously saw A Womans Heart, equally as enjoyable. Centrally located theatre with plenty of bars/restaurants.

Couple a draw backs, seat space very tight (I'm not tall but very squashed), bar served drinks in glasses then security spent night taking glasses/bottles off punters in main area. Scuffle with some merry women, should have been sorted quicker as disturbed those around the incident.

Hi there, many thanks for your feedback. We agree that Emeli Sande is a truly amazing performer, we've been honoured to have her play here twice in the last few months! Sorry to hear you were not happy with every aspect of your night in The Olympia however, if you would like to email us at info@olympia.ie our management will be able to discuss this with you?

“The night Joe Dolans car broke down”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2012

Show was excellent and very funny. But (theres always a but) although we had front row seats (A20 -21) we could not see the show. the props and the speakers at the front of the stage blocked our view. at the interval we asked to move and were quite promptly given excellent seats with full view.. My only regret is we did not ask to move at the the start of the show as we missed quite a lot of it.

“Timeless Classic”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2012

I was at the Olympia recently to see Newton Faulkner. It was my first time in the there and I really liked the venue and really enjoyed the show!
I think what makes the Olympia unique is it'a small venue which makes it more intimate and personal for whatever show you are there to see. It's never over priced, my tickets were only €25! You could pay twice that in the O2 and end up being miles back from the stage and able to see nothing!
It has a really quaint, old, vintage feel to it the way it's laid out, the seats, there's little lampshades over some of the lights. The Olympia was first opened in the 1800's so, it's like you're stepping back in time when you're in there! I loved it and I don't think others should be deterred from going to it just because of it's age and size....

“Great theatre in it's original state with friendly helpful staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2012 via mobile

Went to a show here recently and loved it from it's old fashioned music hall ambience to it's great bars. Went to Maureen's Bar where the service and welcome was warm any friendly. The staff in ticket booking, the ushers and the bar staff are all great and make you feel as if they really appreciate that you have decided to frequent the theatre.
