“Stunning venue for comedy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2013 via mobile

Been to see 2 gigs here now as we live in Belfast so normally go there. It is a stunning venue every seat is a great seat. The floor seating based around little tables is an great idea. Highly recommended

“What a great night full of laughs”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2013

Friday 15 November 2013. Al Murray
We were recommended to book a night out at Vicar Street whilst in Dublin by our son who visited September last year when Dara O'Brien was on tour. We were not disappointed. Al Murray was hilarious. The venue is intimate & friendly. We were on the ground floor three rows back from the stage, but as the venue is small wherever you sit you would have a great 'up close' view. We got served at the bar as soon as we entered and similarly in the intermission. If we return to Dublin this is certainly somewhere we will book if the act is right.

Luckily we went for a rekki the afternoon before to find Vicar St by foot, we found the maps of Dublin centre inaccurate, Vicar St is off Thomas Street not Meath St.

“Best intimate venue in Dublin”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2013

This is by far the best venue for an intimate gig in Dublin. I have been here on numerous occasions each year since it opened. The balcony seats give an incredible of the view no matter which seat you are in. Balcony seats also give the benefit of being able to view the crowd go mental if the gig is good, and keeps you out of harms way for comedy gigs where you might otherwise get picked on for participation. By far the best gig each year is the 27th December Aslan (a Dublin rock band) Christmas gig. Vicar Street is their Christmas home every year. Its also handy because its in town, and there is often parking on-street for free after 7pm. The bar is plenty big in size with a good amount of occasional seating around the edge. Drinks are what you would expect to pay in town, and you can bring them through into the theatre (plastic glasses). It also serves through each gig – but please do think of how much you are disturbing your seat neighbours if you need to pass them getting up and down for millions of drinks runs/bathroom visits. The balcony seating itself is quite comfortable – flip down seats, no arms. The seating downstairs in the main is fixed to the ground round tables with 4 fixed to the ground stools – you cannot move these around at all. All in all this is a fantastic venue – even the security staff are nice.

“Intimate Venue”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

Went to see Passenger Sunday 6th October. Brilliant venue. It was an under age concert so you were unable to bring drinks in with you to the concert. They had to be consumed in the bar only. Probably a good thing as it was very busy so saved people spilling them on you. Lovely cosy, intimate venue. So when Passenger asked for silence for a few of his songs, that's what he got - brilliant!

“A very nice & intimate venue”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

I came to Vicar Street for the Lana Del Rey concert and I loved how intimate it was. There was security on all day as we were queuing up since around 11am and I found that great. Inside Vicar Street there was a shop for merchandise and the staff were all very friendly even though it was extremely busy. Would definitely come back for another concert.
