“Oasis with Great Craft Beers”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2013

Everyone's reviews for Brewery Lane summarized our thoughts. Lovely view of The Liffey River, great friendly service, wonderful selection of craft beers, clean, not crowded, live music, etc etc etc.
We came across this restaurant/pub by accident. We were in the pub below and checked upstairs for more space because it was packed. There were only a handful of people in the whole place until the live music came. The sweet young lady that served us was very helpful and even brought up 8 or more choices of beers to pick from and gave some sage advice.
This would be my first stop next time I'm in Dublin.

“Excellent food, Excellent Atmosphere, and Great Draught Selection”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013

Somehow it took us ten days to find a pub in Ireland that had a great selection of local beers (it seems that almost every pub has to choose between Guinness, Smithwicks, Tennents, Heineken, Harp, and Budweiser), but Brewery Lane had a wonderful selection of taps. The upstairs restaurant was a nice break from the busy pub atmosphere downstairs, but they still piped in the live music (best of both worlds). Food was great, and when we headed back downstairs to sit in the pub, the atmosphere was superb.

“Great Beers and Excellent View of the Liffey!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2013

This was the location of our first Guinness in Dublin! The Brewery was down all alley on the way to Temple Bar. It's kind of hidden and on the second floor but the selection of beers, appetizers and beautiful view of the River Liffey makes it worth looking for it. The appetizers were great and the beer selection was endless. I liked it because it didn't draw the young, rowdy drinking crowd. Maybe it was because we went during the day. Enjoyed our beers here!

“Mecca for craft beer”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2013

One of the better (and by 'better' I mean calmer, more chilled out) places in Temple Bar. A way to be where the action is without having to be too much part of the action. Great selection of Irish craft beer (at Dublin prices) and they had the option for beer and whiskey samplers which I didn't try but looked pretty tempting. Big long tables (it's a beer hall) but also a few round tops for smaller groups.

I would definitely come back the next time I'm in Dublin and recommend it to anyone looking for a decent beer in a cool location.

“Fantastic atmosphere, average service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2013

I just visited this place with a group of 8. On a Friday evening, it proved to be hard to find somewhere in the area where we could all be seated together, but at Brewery Lane we were all put together on a long table in the middle of the room. A big plus for tables fitting 10+ guests.

As we arrived early, the restaurant was quiet, and we were surprised that the waitress was very pushy getting our orders down. In a big group like this, it usually takes more than 2 minutes to decide what to eat and drink, and we were shown little understanding when we asked for a few more minutes to decide. This dramatically changed over the course of the evening. As the place filled up, the 2 (!) waitresses there where running around trying to serve everyone, ending up completely ignoring our table. Staffing the place with more waiting staff would be recommended, as some of us waited for long periods of time to get their glasses refilled and desserts ordered.

The food itself was tasty enough, but nothing spectacular. Among ourselves, we covered a big part of the menu, and everyone liked what they got without blowing anyone's socks off. There is a large selection of both local and foreign beers, and other beverages were also plentiful.

The best thing about this place is without doubt the atmosphere. A big open room with high ceilings, and old fashioned decor making great possibilities for a good night out and friendly chats around the tables. We ended up staying there all night (maybe that was the reason they stopped serving us), and would absolutely recommend everyone to try it out.
