“Good value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

We went to Dublin for the new year celebrations and stayed at this hotel for two nights. It is in a very good location and the buffet breakfast is good. The rooms are very clean and the staff are helpful and friendly, taking all the time to tell us how to get to places. The only negative thing I can say is that one of the two electronic plastic keys was not programmed - this happened to two three out of four rooms we were in. Obviously they were programmed when we told the receptionist about this. Other than that I would recommand the hotel as it is good value for money.

We were 3 in our room, it was clean and welcoming.
The hotel is near many many (many many) shops, there are lots of supermarkets and restaurants where you can go in less than 5 minutes.
However, the restaurant on the second floor was a bit disappointing: there wasn't many people in and the service was very slow. The food was good but expensive.

We stayed at the Jury's Inn in late December, our flight was a early morning arrival and we arrived at the hotel at 8am and our room was ready' giving us time to relax before heading off into Dublin. The room was excellent with a very comfy bed and very clean. We had breakfast the next day which was buffet and was really good with every choice. All in all we would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a hotel in a great location and value for money.

Enjoyed our stay at Jurys Inn Parnell Street. Very close to shopping areas and also for getting Luas to concert at the O2. Room very clean and comfortable, with eco practices in place. Had an evening meal in the restaurant which was well priced and enjoyable.

A Jurys Inn is a Jurys Inn - you know exactly what you are going to get and the Parnell Street hotel is no different. I have stayed here many times over the last 10 years and have never been disappointed. The rooms are clean, comfortable and well stocked. The location is ideal for exploring Dublin, being just off O'Connell Street and very near Jervis shopping centre/Moore Street market.

The staff are helpful and professional. The food in the restaurant is best avoided in my opinion, although the bar is reasonable.

Good hotel for those on a somewhat limited budget as midweek prices are very good.

Room Tip: The noise coming from the Moore Street cleaners can by quite loud, so try to avoid rooms on that sid...

The hotel is very easily found and accessible for the airport buses too. Only 10 euro return is good value and well worth taking advantage of. The hotel has friendly staff on reception that promoted the hotel breakfast at 8 euro - bargain and it is a good, varied buffet. We would defintely recommend it and you must prebook the night before you want it and are given a voucher to present at the restaurant. The room we had was overlooking the inner courtyard area and was very quiet. We also ate in the bar area and the food was very good quality, nicely presented and reasonably priced for a hotel. The hotel is excellently situated for the shopping streets of O'Connell St and Henry Street. Plus not too far to walk to Grafton St or St Stephens Green too

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the inner courtyard, very peaceful

Look, this is no Hilton: it doesn't pretend to be. When people complain on this site I'm often forced to consider what it is they expect for their money. I chose this hotel because, in terms of location vs price, I decided this was the better option. My expectations weren't that great, given some of the reviews. As it turned out, the hotel entrance was surprisingly impressive. Reception was a breeze and we were at our room in just a few minutes. A surprising capacious, tidy and clean room. OK, the LED bulbs are a bit yester-year (good on them for the energy saving attempt, but frankly the ones in the bathrooms need to be updated because what they supposedly save on energy is probably wasted in the 10-15 minutes needed before you can see yourself in the mirror). TV in Ireland is always interesting - ITV3 but no ITV2, but hey, I didn't go to Dublin to watch TV, it was only on when I was sleeping off the Dublin air, so to speak. Back to location: this hotel isn't in the most affluent of areas, it's true, but it's not THAT rough. There's a decent little Italian down the road which is nothing fancy, but run by a lovely guy who was two of the most adorable sons. The Burger King has the strangest opening hours I've ever seen. Along the road, past the Imax Cinema is Capel St, which runs parallel with O'Connell Street, so if you get sick of the crowds on the boulevard, that's an alternative way of getting down to Temple Bar. Also Capel Street is crammed with book shops, antique shops, little eateries etc. The attention to cleaning the room was faultless (we left a tip of course), and the bar staff are also very accommodating (again, tip). All in all, we had a brilliant weekend, and lack of stress by this hotel was a great factor. Being able to get to where we needed so easily was a boon, and actually I'm glad I chose this one over the Christchurch. We'd definitely use this hotel again. Dr J S.

Room Tip: We were on the front side - Parnell Street. Could be a little noisy unless you apply plenty of Dubl...
