“Good value for money and a happy stay!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 days ago NEW

Great value for money. We paid a little extra and got a more luxurious room but it was worth it. Room was lovely, TV, kettle and en-suite. Breakfast was basic the following morning, but there was cereal, toast, different yogurts and tea and coffee which was lovely for us. We stayed here as a young couple because it was the closest to Dundrum shopping center, where we planned on doing a spot of Christmas shopping. It is about a 10 min walk and very straight forward to get to from the Residence. The Staff were friendly, Melissa on Reception was really friendly and was happy to help in any way possible! Overall a nice experience, the room was great but the hotel could do with a little painting but great value for money, nice rooms and very convenient for the shopping center, we will stay here if we are to shop in Dundrum again.

Initially I was a little worried about the standard of the hotel considering it is really a University residence. However the price won out and I gave it try. I was not disappointed. It is on a public transport route, but I drove. Easy to find although a little confusing when in the venue as there is a sign saying 'Reception' but this is not the hotel area. Follow the sign for 'Conference centre' instead, you will find great parking too.
The rooms are large and well fitted out, complimentary toiletries and tea and coffee making facilities in the room. There is also access to a microwave in the breakfast area, although i did feel that 10 euro for a continental breakfast was a bit much.
A good value, clean, quiet place on the southside of Dublin.

It is not a hotel. More like a guesthouse / residence. Quite a walk from Balally stop and Dundrum maybe 15/20 minutes. Staff very courteous. Rooms good size with huge comfy beds. Large work desk and large flat screen tv. Free toiletries and clean towels. Water pressure very good. Lots of hot water. Tea making facilities with complimentary biscuits. Self service breakfast. You can have a proper breakfast to start off your day. If you need to have a good nights sleep in quiet peaceful surroundings then it's perfect. Free parking. Free wifi. Away from Dublin city centre. It's a pleasant stay though for less than 60 euro for a double room with breakfast - single occupancy.

It is a good place to stay in for young couples. We stayed there in April 2012 it is a basic hotel just a place to sleep in and have breakfast. The room was big and clean. It is 15 min walk to the luas and Dundrum mall.
We really enjoyed our stay in the IMI.
I recommend it for young couples.

This is not a hotel in the true sense of the word, the rooms are spacious and clean , very powerful showers, tea making facilities. The location is perfect for he Dundrum shopping centre and Ballaly carparks for the luas train into dublin. The staff are friendly and helpful.breakfast is continental reall6 could not fault it

Room Tip: Try and park away from the trees birds tend to leave a mess on your car, all the rooms seem to be he...

This residence is at a great location for visiting Dundrum town centre which is only a 10 min walk away. The Luas stop is here also which can take you into the city centre in 20 mins. The IMI residence itself is in a very quiet area, it's not a hotel but has staff present all night at the front desk. The rooms were large and very clean. Will stay here again because it is reasonably priced.

It is not a hotel, cannot believe it was advertised as a three star hotel! I wanted accommodation for three nights with my daughter, without having to travel to Dublin City. It is in a great location near dundrum town centre and luas but very basic standard of accommodation. The room was not ready when we arrived, check in was from 2pm, we arrived at half three and we were told to come back in half an hour when our room would be ready, no apology was offered! The room had a stagnant odour and the carpets were very worn and stained, cigarette burn in the curtain! Our rooms were not checked on any day. I had to ask for fresh towels and toilet paper and this was provided. They did not empty the bins or provide new soap or clean utensils. Very poor quality service. My one positive was that there was a water dispenser in the lobby which saved us having to buy water! This place has potential as it is in a great location but needs serious updating and more professional staff.
