This is right up the road, next to the government building. I recommend this museum to anyone. It had something for everyone.

“Fantastic collection of Irish artifacts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2013

Admission is free. Great for Children and Adults. Collections are fantastic and give you a wonderful sense of the rich history of the countryside, especially of the life on the bogs. Ireland's distant past can easily be forgotten with the wealth of more recent (19th & 20th c.) historical sights in Dublin but this brings those earlier times to life. This museum has beautiful metalwork objects, stonework, and incredibly well preserved remains of people who lived in the country centuries ago. Please note that there are actual human remains of bog people, which might be frightening for some young children. Feel free to ask a museum docent point out where these are on the map before-hand so you can avoid if need be. Museum closes promptly at 5, including the gift shop (which I thought was odd - the actually pushed people out who were still shopping).

“Interesting but Small Museum”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2013

The museum was interesting and full of wonderful artifacts, however it was a bit on the small side. We wish there was more of it to look around. Also there were activity sheets at the beginning for children to work through whilst going round, but not much more interactive activities for children. Still, we found the museum very informative and interesting, just wish it was slightly bigger,

“Amazing Museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2013

This is one amazing museum, a must see if you are in Dublin. Addmitance is free of charge, you can also take pictures (no flash), and has amazing collections, as well as the incredible roman mosaic flooring which every history lover will enjoy, as well as the wonderful wooden carved doors and the majestuous fireplaces. Definitely a must see!

“Interesting For History Buffs”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2013

It is a beautiful Building not far from City Center, with a good view outside.
Has lots of displays, of many periods of Irish History. It was a bit tricky finding the exit though. I think I had to work my way back through all I had seen to exit??
