I rediscovered this cafe recently when I found myself at that side of town with a baby in a buggy. There's not as many buggy friendly cafes in the city centre as you'd think and I was delighted when I realized that this place is.
The cafe is located in the Chester Beatty Library building in Dublin Castle. It has it's own seating within the cafe which is a bit drab but the seating in the atrium is lovely.
They serve really good coffee here and the way it should be served. There are no huge mugs here and the emphasis is on quality over quantity.
The food in the cafe is so far above the general standard of cafe food in Dublin. It's middle eastern which is a welcome change from microwaved lasagne or wraps and paninis. The salads are equally as good as the hot food and your biggest dilemma will be making a choice. There are so many cakes and pastries, again with a middle eastern influence, Turkish delights and biscuits that you'll want to taste a bit of everything.
All round this is a great cafe and definitely worth a trip if you're visiting Dublin and are tired of all the touristy places nearby.
