No issues, grand food, well priced. Lack of plates is a pain, but it was grand. Nobody would expect anything else

“One of the WORST experiences i've had”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2012

I ordered from the baggot street branch and asked to get the food delivered. Anytime i go to the restaurant, the food is quite good and i have never had any problems with mao until today. The food took about an hour and a half to get to me. When it finally arrived, the packaging that the food was placed in was broken and soggy, the two soups i had ordered were the wrong ones and one of them leaked all over my carpet with half of it already gone when i got it . I ordered the five spice chicken and it came WITHOUT noodles or chicken. I ordered the chilli squid to start and it was rubbery and soggy to say the least. I have never ordered such HORRIFIC food and payed SO much. I am completely and utterly disgusted and disappointed in "Mao at home". Avoid ordering from them at ALL COST, you will absolutely regret it!!!!!

“Small portions”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2012

Ordered online from mao at home and the result was very disappointing. The share box was small, one spring roll, 2 small chicken satay, 2 small prawns and 2 small chicken wings for a tenner, and when we say small we mean small. Disappointed to say the least. The spring rolls are very thin and dry, not much content inside. Overall a very disappointing food experience.

“A good business/franchise but need to order carefully”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2012

The menu has quite a mix of asian fare... which on the face of it is a good thing. Unfortunately whilst I am sure a lot of dishes are very good, some are decidedly strange and not to be recommended. We order the vegetarian Spring Rolls (bland), the Tom Kha Gai soup (very good) and the vegtarian Nasi Goreng (this was not nasi goreng... but it did have rice in it... odd and disappointing). If you have patience and persistence I would guess there could be some real gems here.

“Excellent food, nice and clean place with pleasant staff !”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2012

Located just opposite Donnybrook rugby grounds this little gem is to be found. We've been twice in recent weeks and are glad to say it was as good on both occasions. An extensive menu prepared in front of your eyes in a clean open kitchen. Special of the day priced at €8.50 and most others in the €10 range. food was prepared feshly ! We found it a great place for late fresh lunch. On both occasions our visit was at about 3pm when it was quiet, but
