“A peaceful place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2014

It's a very nice place to share a cup of tea with some friends in the afternoon or your lover in the evening. The staff has always been very welcoming with us and they serve very good drinks and cakes. This café is so popular that it is sometimes difficult to find a quiet place where to sit, but the cosy decoration is also an asset.

“Stingy”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2014

Excuse me? You say I can't plug in my phone charger because the extra electricity that would cost means that you'd have to raise your drinks prices? I've never heard the like. I'm already paying 2.80 for a cup of tea - what would the power for 15 minutes of phone charging cost? For a place that presents itself as being cosy and welcoming I found this really miserly. And the poor staff member was blushing as she had to repeat the party line in front of a queue of customers. Poor show! I was here for a meeting and certainly won't be back.

“Great late-opening café”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2014

I'm a regular here as they open late, have comfy chairs and couches, and the staff are authentically welcoming and helpful. Their hot chocolates and coffees are delicious and made with great care. They have a good selection of baked treats (including gluten-free options). Tend to play good music and there's a bookshelf of books if you'd like something to read while relaxing. Downstairs has a lively atmosphere most nights of the week-great for people looking for a good spot to catch up with friends that isn't a pub.

“Excellent Coffee Shop with Super Staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2014

This is an excellent coffee shop with very welcoming staff, and very comfortable seating. It also opens late till eleven which gives an alternative in the city centre. Great place to have a coffee, tea or anything else you like and a chat with friends.
