“Great food..poor service!!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2014 via mobile

Myself and a group of friends went for dinner here at the weekend for our Christmas do!
The food was gorgeous,on the expensive side but you do pay for what you get, however our waitress ruined what could of been a great experience!
We had hardly taken off out coats when she wanted us to order,we then asked for the wine menu which was thrown at us practically! To say she hovered around our table till the last person to finish eating put their fork down is an understatement! Very off putting but the final straw was when got our bill and all of us put in our money instead of taking it away she then proceeded to count it AT our table, highly unprofessional and a tad insulting as to us it looked as she believed we hadn't paid enough even though we left an extra tip on top of service charge! We booked this table at the start of November and were given a timeframe for it which we were well in limits off!
Cause of this will not be rushing back anytime soon, pity cause the food is lovely!

“Great food- service could be better ”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 14, 2014

Myself and five friends ate in here the other night. It was my second time in San Lorenzo's and the food & drinks did not disappoint.
I know Christmas is a busy period, but customers do not want to feel rushed throughout their meal which is exactly how we felt with our waitress hovering beside our table most of the night which made us all uncomfortable.
When the bill came we all split it accordingly -the waitress then came to collect it & told us she was "just going to check it" and counted the cash out at our table. As most of us at the table have previously worked in the service industry this was a big no no, just totally rude and unnecessary.
I won't be rushing back in here again, the food is lovely but it's lacking atmosphere especially around the Christmas period. The rest of the staff seemed lovely & I did not have any problems on my previous visit to the restaurant. It's probably better suited to couples & not groups.

“Very disappointing - food was cold”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 14, 2014

Friends had raved about this restaurant so we organised a friends get-together there just before Christmas. We had booked brunch for 12pm weeks before and were told we had to be out by 1.15pm, which we understood because of the time of year. But when we arrived it was so busy and crowded, it was very uncomfortable and noisy. But obviously the food was supposed to be the appeal, and that was so disappointing. I had ordered eggs Benedict and as well as being cold, it was just a crappy bagel with bad ham on top. And friends were also disappointed by their food which they said was well below the usual standard. But people at the next table were having French toast and that looked yummy. We actually left before our allotted time and won't be going back.

“Probably the best brunch Ive had in Dublin!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2014

We had the most amazing breakfast tacos and mimosas ever. I really loved it. I was not too impressed with the crab cakes tho. Great spot for brunch in Dublin city centre. Staff not great at all but will come back for the food.
