“Must Do Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2013

My husband and I booked a table at Whitefriar Grill whilst in Dublin for the weekend. The reviews we read on Trip Advisor were really good and the restaurant lived up to those reviews in every way. The environment is good, the staff were brilliant and the food was amazing. We stayed at our table for 2 hours and never felt rushed or pressured to leave after we had finished eating. You will not be disappointed if you go.

“Lovely food and brilliant price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013

We booked a table for 7 o'clock but turned up early and found we were entitled to the early bird menu. 2 three course meals with choice of wine for €55 - result. The restrictions on the menu over a la carte were not that bad and a couple of low cost upgrades were available. The wine choice was a bit limiting but we paid over €30 the day before for a not much better bottle of wine at the Winding Stairs. The food for the price was brilliant. I had the wings starter - it was massive and the sauce was great. I had steak and ribs for main - either could have been a meal by themselves. The only downer was that the steak was put on top of the chips so they were soggy. Had to have lovely ice cream for desert cos I was stuffed. Got very full and noisy after about 8pm. Service was very good but got slow when it was full. Hats off to the tattooed shorted owner??? and his lovely staff.

“Delicious”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2013

Visited the new refurbished Whitefriar grill recently.
My Starters and main course were very tasty.
Gambas Pil Pil on toast for starter and Roast spiced monkfish for main course. Both delicious.
My friend had the chicken wings for a starter, they were delicious but a lot for a starter. He had the Rump steak with sticky ribs and chips. The steak was nice but not fantastic.

Worth a visit for sure

“great food at reasonable price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2013

This restaurant in a word amazing.... its a hidden gem just off grafton street... great selection of starters mains and desserts.. nigel looked after us and was brillant.. it is an extremely popular spot so you will have to book..... we had the 3 course meal for 2 special with wine..,. Enjoy your visit to Whitefriar Grill.. and also when you've had such a brillant meal why not adjourn to The Swan pub about 4 or 5 doors up for a great pint after.
