“Tasting Menu a Delight and Impeccable Service-Michelin standard”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2013

Party of four of us had dinner here last Saturday night, and it exceeded the very high expectations we had prior to going. Service was attentive, precise , and impeccable, notwithstanding that it was very busy and every table was occupied.

We started off with pre-dinner drinks in the outdoor garden area (with an effective patio heater) and were each presented with a complimentary glass of Bollinger champagne-nice way to get into the mood of things!

We all opted for the tasting menu (€60)with seven courses-what a culinary delight, with courses such as:-
Fermanagh chicken pudding , Clogherhead crab with basil & tomato fondue, roast skate wing with baby leeks , loin of wicklow rabbit, a coffee parfait dessert ,a cheeseboard and coffee---and a few amusee bouches in between. The four course menu is €40. For the presentation , and the sourcing of the best of Irish produce, this is very good value for an exceptional dining treat.Every single course was explained to us on presentation. One of our party did not fancy rabbit, and this was substituted with a delicious vegetarian option (the restaurant has a vegetarian menu too).

Our wines were selected from a short list of 18 excellent well-chosen wines(house wines are €22 per bottle). We opted for a crisp muscadet , and an excellent Argentinean Malbec.

This is a top-class silver service restaurant offering top-quality produce. The service standards and professionalism , friendliness of the staff, and the relaxed atmosphere in fine surroundings (in a building built originally as a residence in Edwardian times)make this restaurant a 'must do' dining experience in Dublin (about 10 minutes by taxi from the city centre). Service charge is discretionary.

“good but tiny portions”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2013

I heard a lot of good things about mulberry.it has gained quite a reputation for good food! However although it is a nice place and no doubt food was good the portions were truly very small. Presentation of food very elaborate, lots of pretty garnishes but i felt the main course resembled a starter.i was with a party of people many of the male guests felt hungry at the end of the meal. So...maybe nice to visit but have a little something before visiting.

“Superb food, great service & relaxed atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2013

Mulberry Garden is a lovely little restaurant situated in Donnybrook, Dublin.

The set menu only offers 2 choices of each course but whichever you choose - you will not be disappointed! The food is simple, fresh produce & beautifully presented. There is usually a choice of fish & meat dish for main. There is also a set vegetarian menu.

In many 'fine dining' restaurants tables need to be vacated by a certain hour & you can feel quite rushed. My boyfriend & I have been there on several occasions & have soaked up the relaxed, buzzy atmosphere. A contradiction it may be but you get the jist!

The staff too are exceptionally attentive, friendly, polite & professional.

Looking forward to a return visit soon.

Just LOVE this restaurant. €40 a head for the quality of food and service is exeptional. Wine list is very reasonable and its a lovely setting. Definately my favourite restaurant in its class.

“A very pleasant experience .”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Hidden down a lane in Donnybrook lies this beautiful restaurant with a pretty garden. The interior is stylish and comfortable with good acoustics. The staff are all very well trained and most polite. The menu is limited to a choice of two starters and two main courses and two desserts for€40 . The quality of the food is excellent but if you have a big appetite you might be dissatisfied .The wine list has some nice surprises. I will definitely return to this lovely place.
