The tour was really interesting, because you get to know the whole process of whiskey making and a cocktail in the and is delicious.

“Irish coffee/Jameson and ginger”

Very informative, museum and historical quality rather than a working distillery (which is nearby). LIked this better than the Guinness tour. Knowledgeable tour guide.

“Great Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2013

Jameson's was the first attraction we visited in Dublin and we loved it!

Although a little pricey for the legnth of the tour and what you actually see it was still a highlight of our trip.

You are greeted in reception by your tour guide who takes a group through the factory to explain the distillation process - our group was 35 strong which was a little large for our liking but it didn't ruin our experience. Initially you view a film about the history which is really interesting and quite funny too this is followed by around a 45 minute tour of the tools and rooms which were used in the process.

Our guide was really funny, made the tour really interactive by asking questions and making jokes with his audience.

The only let down was the taste test challenge where select members of the group get to try Scotch, Jameson's and Jack Daniels to compare - given the 15euro fee i think a shot of each is covered easily with profit to spare!

“VERY ENJOYABLE”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2013

We took a tour of the Old Jameson Distillery, it was awesome. They did a wonderful job, I would highly recommend the tour while visiting Dublin. We did the Hop on Hop Off Bus Tour and got off for the tour. Takes about an hour, samples at the end. They have a wonderful gift shop, the prices were pretty good I thought. Bought some Irish Whiskey Toffee for gifts, very taste.

“Great guide”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2013

Please note that this is more of a museum tour than a tour of an operating distillery to avoid disappointment.
Very informative thanks to a really knowledgeable tour guide. Have been to working distilleries in Scotland so this was a good chance to see how the 2 countries differed in their approaches. We managed to volunteer as tasters, so that all added to the experience. Get in quick when asked as places are limited and it really adds to the whole experience.
As with all places like this, you may find it cheaper to buy your souvenirs off-site where they are a lot cheaper than in the on-site shop.
Food was another highlight - reasonably priced and good quality.
Much preferred this to the Guinness tour we went on. Better value as well at £4 cheaper.
