Owner description: Join us for a guided tour through the romantic past of Irish Whiskey making, learn about the Angels Share, Triple Distillation and above all the smooth taste of Jameson Irish Whiskey.Open 7 days all year, the journey begins with an audio visual presentation followed by a walk through the recreated distillery and culminates in the Jameson Discovery Bar with a complimentary glass of Jameson and a chance to become a "Qualified Irish Whiskey Taster". The Jameson Gift Shop, Bars & Restaurant all offer so much more than just a tour, but an exciting and engaging experience at the Home of Jameson Irish Whiskey.

“Poor”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2013

First I would say that booking online is not ideal because you have to provide a date and time and when you are on holiday you do not really know when you are going exactly. The Guinness tour gave you the freedom to go whenever you liked for that remaining year which was more than ideal. The short film was, as the woman explained to us, not going to win any Oscars for sure! The rest of the tour took under half an hour and not everyone had the option to try the whiskey tasting. I still would say that I enjoyed their triple distilled whiskey but unfortunately the tour did not reach my expectations

“Why not if is raining or if it is too cold”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013 via mobile

In fact, the distillery is located in the south, so the visit takes place in a scenery. The elaboration of the whiskey is intéresting but but but ... This is a lit bit too commercial.

“Much better than Guinness tour”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013

i am not a Whiskey fan, but I found the tour to be very interesting and have a new respect for Jamesons!

We encountered a line and wait because we went on St Patty's Day, but it was worth it. In the beginning of the tour, you watch a short clip in a 'theatre-like' room. The video was well done--funny, informative and entertaining. Next the tour leader leads you to the different parts of the process making of Jamesons. The guide was great - good audio, snuck in a couple of jokes, and kept it interesting. We each got a taster and a full glass at the end. I chose the Jamesons with gingerale. My husband was also part of the the tasting experience at the end, and received a certificate for the experience.

“Enjoyable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2013

This visit was very enjoyable and informative.

You are guided through the old distillery by a member of staff, which gives it a very homely and personal feel. Our guide was very knowledgeable and open to questions.

Worth the money.

Hint: If you volunteer at the beginning, you get free shots at the end.

“We didn't do the tour, but visited JJ's Bar”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2013

Very cool whiskey selections and signature drinks - some varieties that can't be found in the United States. Unlike the Guinness Tour, you could purchase drinks at JJ's without taking the full distillery tour. I had the best Irish coffee there.
