“Worth a visit.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2013

The church holds the remains of St Valentine. There is a book you can write a request to St. Valentine which is lovely touch. The interior of the church is beautiful. There are several shrines, a shop to purchase religious items. It is also in walking distance to St. Patrick's Cathedral for those wishing to go there next.

Stunning interior, well worth the visit. Don't be deceived by the exterior. It is a place of great beauty.

“Lovely Old & Active Church”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2013

We visited Whitefriar specifically to see St. Valentines Relics but found much more. There are several Shrines in this Church besides St. Valentine and for the Catholics among the donation to light a candle is very reasonable. We were lucky enough to be in Whitefriar when a daytime Mass was scheduled so we stayed for the Service and we were glad we had, it was a very nice day in an old and active church.
On a side note Whitefriar is just a short walk from St. Patrick’s Anglican Cathedral.

“Stunning Building”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

I have been close to this wonderful building many times but never realised how beautiful it is inside. The Shrines are magnificent and it holds the remains of St Valentine which are put on display on Valentine's Day.

“the Patron saint of Romance”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013

We went here to see the shrine to Saint Valentine, where his remains rest. Church looked very plain from the outside but was decorative and the little shrine was nice. VIsitor book to leave your thoughts, hopes and dreams etc. Worth bringing your partner to see as its its not too far off the beaten track (just behind Stephens Green).
