“Wonderful Gardens for a lazy Dublin afternoon.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2013

The Victorian Glasshouses are almost completely restored and are beautiful, there are lovely walkways along the river, the flora is stunning, (I'm a amateur gardener) and they have a great eco-friendly fruit & veg section including honeybee hives. There is a visitor centre, a food hall and toilet facilities etc. Well worth a visit.

“A breath of fresh air”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2013

A fantastic way to spend an afternoon. The grounds are kept beautifully and the plants both indoor and outdoor are truely amazing. The squirrels in the National Botanic Gardens come so close you can almost pet them (not recommended). There is a Cafe just inside the gates of the gardens on the left hand side. A walk in the Narional Botanic Gardens is just a lovely way to clear your head away from all the madness for a while. Highly recommended.

“A little Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

If you like well maintained gardens and want to relax for a few hours well just go and enjoy. Its free and the glass houses are a great way to step in from the often frequent showers that Dublin has.Bring a picnic and camera as there some lovely areas to take great photos.

“Dublin Plant Life”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

The Botanic Gardens are situated about two miles from the city centre in the same direction as Glasnevin Cemetery so these two attractions could be linked for a days outing. The gardens are a delight to visit with a water area, rose garden, glasshouses , so many types of mature trees and many other features spread over a very large area

“A lovely way to spend an afternoon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013 via mobile

I visited recently with friends and was pleasantly surprised that entry is free. We missed the tour but will try to catch it next time.

We visited on a beautiful July day and the walks around are beautiful.

Just wander around and enjoy.
