Did the tour today,didnt think it would be our thing.Have to say we really enjoyed it!Bridget our tour guide was great..i learnt more off her in 2 hours than i did in my history classes in school .We found it very informative would now go back to the cemetary and have a better look around in the summer.
I would highly recommend this tour. I was a bit reluctant initially. Did I really want to spend two hours in a cemetery? I did not feel the time. Bridget, the tour guide was so interesting and informative. We had a light lunch afterwards. All were happy.
very interesting for your genealogy. you can use their computers to search the records. the tour is a very good one-lots of history involved. it is being restored so all the very old tomb stones are getting a makeover and making the cemetery look a much better place. if thats possible with a cemetery. most of my irish relatives are buried there so i visit every time i go to dublin.
This tour is great. The tour guide is charming, funny and through a walk arund the graves, points out the most important people in the history of ireland and tells their stories. I really enjoyed it!
Huge cemetary just outside Dublin city centre. The who's who of Irish history are buried here. The tour doesn't give a full cemetary tour, which we were hoping for, but does give a great insight to Dublin's long and illustrious history.
