“Fantastic Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2013

Everything about our stay at The Hampton Hotel was fantastic from Check in to check out. John Clarke and his staff were exceptional in all they did for us. It's a beautiful Boutique Hotel and as there are only 24 rooms they've decorated them to the highest standard. The room was very clean with a beautiful large bathroom, lovely fire and large LCD TV. The bar/bistro was great. Extremely well priced and tasty food. We found it to be better value than the food and drink you get in a lot of bars or restaurants in Dublin. The location was great for us and with a bus stop just outside the hotel you can be in the city centre in 10/15 mins.

We stayed at the Hampton Hotel and it was a great experience. The staffs are very helpful and attentive ( specially John Clarke, the hotel manager!).The accommodation is clean and very comfortable: large bed, fireplace, LCD screen, safe, desk....There is also a lovely bar with great service and food. :) It is just 15 min from the town, with a bus stop exactly in front of the hotel. We highly recommend it!

On our girls trip around Ireland, we decided to stay at a different hotel upon our return to Dublin. While the first hotel was quite lovely our regret was not staying here at the beginning and at the end. This hotel is beautiful!!

We reserved two rooms for our party of 4 – two girls per room and space galore we indulged. We got a decent price however it did not include breakfast. The hotel is about 15 minutes from the city centre – walkable but we opted to take taxis at night. There is free parking on the premises, a stunning restaurant, sitting area and club lounge.

The room was adequate, functional and gorgeous – super comfy beds. The bathroom size was the biggest in our entire trip and we were impressed it feature floor warmers. The room also featured a fireplace and big television. Let’s just stay my roommate opted to stay in to relax in the room then go pub crawling. Definitely recommend this modern, contemporary luxurious hotel if you want a change from castles and manor. I hope to return soon.

Dear Guest,

We're very grateful that you made hampton hotel a part of your itinerary during your recent visit to Ireland. I'm glad that the rooms were hard to leave, but was relieved that you managed to sample what our city has to offer. I hope the weather, while not quite up to Floridian standards, was pleasant enough for you to see the sights.

Thanks again for your kind review.

Yours sincerely,

We stayed at this hotel over a weekend and found it to be a great hotel! It is a little bit outside of the main city centre of Dublin (about a 20 minute walk and 5-10 minute cab ride) but it was so worth it. There is also a bus that runs along the street right outside the hotel which will take you into the city. The hotel employees were very friendly and helpful and they were able to arrange a taxi for us and tell us about major sights in Dublin. The hotel rooms cannot be beaten either. They have a fireplace in them, a tv, and a stereo system. There are also huge windows and the bathroom is quite large! It was on the large size and definitely worth the price. Great hotel to stay at!

This was my 2nd stay here I stayed similar time last year. The staff on reception and in the bar/restaurant are excellent and a real reason to go back. The decor in the main area and bar is modern and trendy. Bizarrely I had the same room as last year. It's large, clean with desk or table
to choose to work from. Large flat screen TV, wardrobe with lights. The bathroom was clean with double sinks. The only 2 downsides about the room was it was freezing when I arrived as it needs the key card to activate the heat it took several hours to warm up & above the bed is an air vent which makes some noise. Had an omelette and salad which was not as good as it was on my last stay the omelette was tasteless and dense. There was only one other vege option so perhaps that is something they could improve on. I am booked to stay again soon and would recommend this hotel. It's also in a lovely area of Dublin.

Dear Guest,

Thank you so much for your kind review and for your repeat business to our hotel. I'm delighted that you enjoy your stays here. I'm grateful for your feedback as well. Particularly on the vegetarian options. I have had a conversation with our chef on introduction some more healthy options, including vegetarian dishes - superfood salad etc.

Thanks again.

This hotel was a very good surprise. We were visiting to go to the international rugby match and wanted a hotel near enough to the ground and to town. Donnybrook was perfect. It has a lovely village feel and the people were very pleasant. Plenty of places to grab a bite to eat, a soup and sandwich or dinner. For us we preferred to walk up to Ranelagh and try the restaurants there - excellent.
It's only a quick walk into town and also not far from the Luas so Dundrum centre is easy tiger to also.
The aircoach stops right outside in both directions so perfect also.
Highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Very good location close to the centre of Dublin. Good 10 minute bus service from right outside the front door to Stephen's Green in the centre of town.
The rooms are very comfortable even though the decor is a bit quirky! The bathroom is large and well appointed.
The staff are very helpful and keen to please.
The "breakfast deal" is not worth it - better to go a la carte.
All in all good value for the money. Would stay there again.

Room Tip: Request a room at the back for more peace and quiet.
