We stayed here on Friday 15 October, total cost £80.00. Got the Aircoach from Dublin Airport around 7.30pm and it took 35 minutes. The coach stops right outside the hotel. We ate in the restaurant, enjoyed our meal. Any staff we met were lovely. Did not go for breakfast as we wanted a lie in on Saturday. Our room was on 1st floor, very quiet, a comfortable bed, nice pillows. Bathroom is fine, shower very powerful. Had to ring reception to ask for another towel but they told us the extra towels were kept in the room in a chest of drawers which they were. There is no shampoo/conditioner, they do have a soap dispenser. There are tea/coffee facilities, a hairdryer. Everything is nailed down! There must be a lot of theft. We were offered a choice of smoking or non smoking rooms which surprised me. I didnt know you could smoke in hotels in Ireland. We chose a smoking room. This is a 3 star hotel in a 4 to 5 star location in South Dublin. It is a very large hotel. I thought it was very good value for the location.

The Hotel really looks impressing from the outside. Once you entered you find a friendly but very cool/reserved staff that answer your questions very short. Kind of a cold atmosphere.
The rooms are ok, if you have a good sleep you might not hear if someone snorrs next room to yours. Its a bit away from the city center, but located very beautifully and and as I said, it looks very nice. Its not a bad choice, but maybe bot the best ...

I stayed here whilst on a business trip in Dublin. The hotel was easy to get to from the airport it took approx 1 hour using the Aircoach service which drops off and picks up right outside the hotel.

On arrival, the outside of the hotel is pretty impressive! The reception staff at check in weren't over friendly. The room itself was in the basement, right at the end of the corridor. I was a lone female traveller and I have to say I felt very vulnerable, especially as the entrance to the underground car park was on the same level, I did not feel safe at all.

The room itself was just ok! It was fairly basic, and fairly clean. It had a double bed, single bed and sofa bed!! There was also an old tv, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, iron and ironing board! The bathroom again was fairly clean and with just a soap dispenser on the wall. The room could have done with a lick of paint, there were scuff marks on the walls, and it generally looked tired. I had a lovely view of a brick wall, although that didn't matter too much as I was only there for one night.

I ate in the bar rather than the restaurant, and had a really nice meal in there. At least the staff were friendlier and more efficient. There aren't many other places to eat out close to this hotel, so be warned. It's abut a 15 min ride from the heart of the city centre, so you might want to consider that before booking here.

I'm not sure if I would stay here again, if i did I would ask for a room on a different floor. Perhaps I might stay if I was travelling with friends or need a cheap family hotel as my room could have slept 5 people!

I have stayed in this hotel a few times - each time was just overnight and it is fine for that, but would avoid it like the plague if your on holiday

The reason is that this hotel is run to do as little as they can get away with and take your cash - to me this appears to be the culture of the hotel

Not rude reception staff, just not firendly, rooms okay but not thought out. Kettle missing, then tray brought it, but table where the kettle is cant reach the socket - that kind of this, money saving for them but not enough for you to give out about

same in the toilets with no toiletries - just blue liquid soap dispenser

This hotel is also a sticklier for its Terms and Conditions (so watch out!! )- they will chrage you for everything which I suppose is fair enough, but the chagres always seem to be out of proportion to the cost of the rooms - same charges for similiar stuff at the 5 star hotel accross the road.

when it comes to the reason I stay here, is that its huge - so when I cant get into a hotel in the city centre I go here - wish i didnt have t though.

Housekeeping was very good. Rooms were clean and kept clean each day. People at front desk were not friendly nor helpful. Only one of six people at the front desk even smiled. The lounge was good food and good service. The restaurant is a major rip-off. The employees don't seem to care one way or the other. We would go back but would avoid the restaurant like the plague.

More like a sleeping factory then a hotel. No standards of welcome or any sign of hospitality. Staying here, which I had to do a few too many times, was never a good experience. They also fleece you for parking and broadband.

I had a great one night stay in Bewleys Hotel, Ballsbridge, after a wet day at the National Ploughing Championship the hotel was a welcome sight. I prebooked and availed of a special offer of one nights B & B plus a 2 course evening meal for only €100 for two people, which to me is great value at the moment! Overnight secure parking is available in the underground carpark, for €8.50. I was delighted to find free Wi-Fi access in our bedroom as I had my laptop with me. The evening meal in the Brasserie Restaurant was lovely, and the breakfast also, staff were friendly & courteous. I have stayed at Bewleys before for Bruce Springsteen at the RDS, which is only next door! Please note that if you are staying in the hotel during a concert in the area, the hotel can be very crowded in the bar and restaurant, so if you are looking for somewhere quiet to stay, this would not be the best time to stay here, so no complaining about noise lol! The hotel is within walking distance of the new Aviva Stadium and is also convenient if you wanted to go city centre shopping and leave the car behind at the hotel, as the bus stop into the city centre is just outside the hotel. I would highly recommend Bewleys Hotel Ballsbridge to my friends and family and I hope it is not too long before I stay again!
