“A good find”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 29, 2013

We booked for one night direct with the hotel and got a good rate and a free bottle of very drinkable wine- not the cheap plonk I expected to get for the price paid.
A clean comfortable room, good quality bed and tv, and a terrific shower all in a great location very close to the Temple Bar action but not stuck in the middle of it.
Everything you need for a city break.

Room Tip: Check your fire exit in case of emergency. They store laundry on one of them....

Stayed here at short notice 25th Nov for one night as we were attending a concert nearby, a bit short notice but the staff were extremely helpful, room clean and big as was shower facilities. Great value for money.
Every one of the staff were great and would stay here again. No complaints from me. Friendly atmosphere and staff.

Room Tip: Hospitality, Rooms, Service all great. Try It, you won't be disappointed.

I wasn't staying in this hotel, but stopped off at their excellent bar and restaurant for a late lunch. They offer really tasty bar food to go with their range of craft beers (and Guinness of course!)

We tucked into a peppered chicken pie, spicy wings (a specialty of John the chef) and a Cesar salad in a burger! We were so impressed that we ended up staying the whole afternoon and evening and a good part of the night too. The staff are really friendly and entertaining and they were introducing live music to the bar for the first time that night.

Oh and Craig the barman makes a great Irish coffee!!

We spent here few days. Our general impression was good. This hotel is close to the city center and to Temple Bar area wher we spent a lot of time drinking a special Guiness! Staff friendly and helpful.
Nothing wrong to declare.

We have just returned from this very good 3 star hotel. We cannot praise the reception staff enough for all their help and assistance. The house keeping team were extremely helpful too. Our major problems came in the Breakfast room where we had 3 breakfasts. We listened to a server telling an American customer he could not have porridge AND bacon/sausage sandwich for breakfast. They were VERY unhappy. Then it happened again with the same unhappiness. Then a lady asked for yogurt. She was staying three days; there was none the first day but she told the server that was her choice for the next two days. On the third day she was told that chef had some on order..how very, very bad. The hot dishes arrive on cold plates. The food though is exemplary.
As you leave Breakfast there is a table with a plate and a sign saying "TIPS". Most unsatisfactory and thoroughly unworthy of such a nice hotel. The hotel proprietor should be aware that leasing out this operation has left 4 sets of customers VERY Unhappy and it will cost them future business. We would NOT return due to the breakfast experience. Our advice to people thinking of booking is if you like being told what you can and CANNOT have to eat ( having paid a lot of money) book the hotel, otherwise maybe look elsewhere.
