“Great spot for a stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2012 via mobile

My first time in Ireland and the best Guinness in town the hotel is in a great spot with a great mix of management and staff who are wanting to help with a great experience .. On a let down the rooms are very small but clean the hallways also very small hard when you have a lot of luggage but it has the best breakfast with the best scrambled eggs in the world ..

Hilton with room to grow

Would be nice if had an excutive lounge great to walk into Dublin from here the city is fantastic for a party and people making you feel like your part of it ..taxi drivers are funny people would stay here again

As a HH diamond member would have thought a better room was in order with only staying the One night and booking 3 rooms

“Excellent stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2012

Excellent, friendly, clean, modern hotel. Even better when we got an early check in and upgraded to a deluxe room. Good location. Only a ten minute walk to St Stephens Green. Would definitely stay here again when next in Dublin.

“Louis Fitzgerald Hotel verses Hilton Dublin, no contest.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2012

On a recent business trip I was persuaded to stay at the Hilton by a colleague who had a Hilton Gold Card, on his recommendation we both booked in after staying 3 nights at the Louis Fitzgerald Hotel (read its review as well). His card was supposed to guarantee preferential check in plus other perks, instead we had to join a long line of people waiting to check in with only one staff member to deal with them. Not a good start. The rooms were clean with comfy beds and duvets but hard pillows. Bedroom phone had broken wall socket next to bed so it did not work.
Later that evening they had a series of parties there with very loud music that thumped throughout the hotel until 4am! This is not acceptable when people are there for a quiet nights sleep. The staff were harassed and there were no extra staff there to deal with complaints.
The overall attitude was uncaring, and all I can say is don't bother going for a gold card because it means nothing, an idea in a boardroom that doesn't work in practise.
Go to the Louis Fitzgerald.

“Modern comfortable hotel but not business friendly”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2012

Stayed for one night only in this modern, centrally located Dublin hotel. I stayed in a club room on the third floor. The room looked stylish but had a significant flaw in that there was nowhere to put your clothes unless you wanted to hang them. No drawers, no shelves that were not already used. As I said I was only staying for one night but had I been staying longer that would have been a problem

The bed was comfortable and the room temperature adjustable and quiet so on a cold night that was good and unlike many other hotels.

Plenty of plugs in the room for charging the multiple devices people tend to carry with them nowadays. A bright clean bathroom with a small bathtub.

No wifi in the room, which is a pain if you are only carrying an ipad or tablet. Free wifi is available in the public areas of the hotel but only with a code that needs to be obtained from reception. The code didn't work, so they ended up giving me the code for the Gold and Platinum card holders.

Breakfast doesn't open until 7am, which meant that I couldn't have any due to an early flight back to London. For a hotel that is catering to business people 7am is too late to open during the week. Early in the morning it takes around twenty minutes to get to the airport.

“Nice hotel with good facilities”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2012

THe hotel is fairly modern and new so everywhere is clean and pleasant. The location, next to the LUAS station, is convenient but that also means that there is something of a noise from passing trams especially in rooms 117 and 118 and on that side of the building. The restaurants are good, and the staff are excellent.
