It is always difficult deciding where to stay. For our first visit to Dublin we opted for the Schoolhouse Hotel, which is a good 12 minute walk from the tourist centre which we define as Grafton Street and Trinity College. The bed was comfortable, the room was spacious and quiet. The small frig in the room did not cool, despite the receptionist telling us that it was operating normally. The food in the restaurant and bar is ok, but not great, based on our two meals. One of the nights we stayed the room rate was 280 euros, and frankly, this hotel is only worth half of that.
