“Excellent budget stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2013

To be honest, if I had been choosing a hotel based on the reviews here I probably would have avoided. We had an unexpected stop over in Dublin and were going to go for Jury's, rooms a bit grim but excellent location and good price. Husband found this hotel while outside trying to call Jury's. Really friendly, welcoming staff. It is so handy for venues including Whelen's and The Village. No distance at all from Dame Street and Temple Bar but a fraction of the cost. If you are familiar with Hogan's and The Market Bar, it is literally two blocks further on. Around a half hour walk from Connolly so certainly not remote. Maybe a little noisy but this is the middle of the city and didn't bother me. Really comfy bed and extremely clean. TV was rubbish, only had BBC1 and BBC2, but you don't really go to Dublin to watch TV, do you?

Stayed there last week Monday to Thursday and carn't really fault it. We just wanted a base to sleep and shower, the staff were nice and helpful and couldn't do enough the rooms were very clean. A nice little cafe next door, which i think is part of the hotel, serve a lovely breakfast which set us up for the day, thanks Sarah.
For the price you carn't go wrong here, will definitely go back.

Stayed here on Saturday night and location is great for city centre, room was great spotless, bed was huge , reception staff great. Couldn't fault it. We came back at 2.30 am and joined in the fun at the adjacent night club. Great crowd had great Craic. All in all brilliant night would definitely recommend here for this type of night.
Ps On 3rd floor and couldn't hear the music.

Really really enjoyed my stay here. Stayed for two nights, stayed in many places around Dublin in the past. Some good some bad. This is definitly in the highest of brackets. Lovely room, lovely service and the staff were always there with a great smile. Only thing I would change would be that you can control the heat a bit more in the room. Was very very hot. Apart from that would recommend it to anyone, best value in the city and think it deserves another star

This hotel is like the tardis! Looks very small on the outside but comfortable on the inside. We stayed for 3 nights / 4 days with Groupon, and as it was midweek, had no problem with nightclub noise. 3rd floor room was reasonably spacious with all the basics, but no telephone in the room. We had no need for wifi or using the dining facilities so cannot comment on these. Location was good, being a couple of blocks off St Stephen Green, and everything was withing easy walking distance. The staff were all very pleasant and the only downside was the overpowering smell of grease and stale cooking when the window was open (Probably more from surrounding eating establishments than the hotel). If you are looking for somewhere centrally located, that's needed as a base to visit Dublin, and doesn't cost £££, this fits the bill. Afterall you aren't likely to be sitting in the room!

Room Tip: Our 3rd floor room was quiet.

My girlfriend and I checked in, no problems. A deceptively nice hotel. Considering the price and how small it looks on the outside, it's a pleasant surprise on the inside. Second floor room with a miserable view directly above smoking area which I didn't have a problem with except the window didn't seem to close properly. I was aware of the "disco" (I wonder when the elderly will realise disco has been dead for a long time) before arriving and due to it being a saturday I decided to tackle the problem by going out and having a good time until after the music finished.
All in all, it was clean, bright atmospheric , rooms were warm, INCREDIBLY COMFORTABLE beds and location is perfect for a stay in the city.

My only problems are that I paid for what I thought was a room with wifi but the website is purposefully misleading about this as I was shocked to hear that it only works in the small 2-seated lobby. Now being with my girlfriend was fine for me but if I was a lonely businessman it would make for a very odd, awkward and uncomfortable night for the receptionist.
That and the lack of a phone in the room was a bit of an annoyance when it came to wanting to ask anything from reception.Though running up and down the stairs did give me much needed exercise so in lieu of a phone the fitness programme was more than sufficient and dare I say, inspirational!

I would ABSOLUTELY stay again. Friendly staff, great price, fantastic beds and a grand location. Just get the wifi in the bedrooms sorted. PC World could sort you out with a few solutions for under 50 quid! Either that or stop advertising it.
