“Great Location, Helpful Staff, Shame About Some Guests”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

We have previously stayed at Blooms several years ago, so are very familiar with it's superb location and facilities. However, we had another couple with us whose first impressions of Dublin were somewhat tainted by the group of "middle/late aged" men (not 18-30) shouting, knocking on doors and parading up and down the corridors well into the early hours of the morning. So much so that security had to warn them twice! The second night room 406 and the rest where somewhat quieter (thank goodness). We sampled both the full and continental breakfasts during our stay which were adequate, rooms on the fourth floor are somewhat quieter than on the lower levels and possibly better for the lighter sleeper. Would consider for future stays if the deal was competitive enough.

This hotel is very close to Trinity College and Grafton street. It's right in Temple Bar so the noise is the main downside. If you are a light sleeper, it may not be the best hotel for you. Closing the window does help the noise but in the summer you need the window open to cool down the room. There is a taxi stand right around the block too so that makes getting back to the airport easy.

We booked a triple room for a girls weekend away - we were given a great room on the 4th floor complete with balcony - one double bed and two singles for three girls just perfect! The room was clean and very spacious - we paid 10 euros each for breakfast which was great value for money. Yes it can get noisy in the evening but that is due to the location being in the heart of the bars.
Staff where friendly and helpful - our only complaint was the pillows very ard and lumpy- also the hotel ordered us a taxi to get a very early morning flight - we had paid 22 euros from the airport upon out arrival - the same journey return cost 37 euros!!! Think we were ripped off but you live and learn. Definitely stay here again.

Great hotel if you want to be right in the middle of all the action. Because of its location, it gets very busy in the evening with tourists as well as locals who frequent the many restaurants and pubs in the area. Even though we could hear music on the 5th floor until late at night, shutting the window took care of the problem. Bus stops and shopping are just a short walk away from the hotel, which makes this location even better. The hotel is a bit older but clean and housekeeping was exceptional. I would stay at this hotel again without hesitation.

Great location - just on edge of Temple Bar so you are just steps away from great pubs and restaurants - and not too noisy - we did hear some revellers in the back ground, but once the window was closed we heard nothing and we were on the 2nd floor. Staff were very nice, breakfast was very nice and value for money. Plus a great bar attached to the hotel - quiet enough to talk but still a great atmosphere. Very clean, plenty of tea and coffee in room - excellent value for money. We had read some negative reviews of this hotel but are pleased to say we had no problems and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Only problem we had with this hotel was the price but everything else was excellent, from the service to the clenliness, in the middle of the temple bar area with its own bar with traditional irish music brilliant, plenty of place to eat and drink would recommend for a visit

Very central location in the heart of temple bar. Parking was at a local car park and cost 13 Euro for 24 hours. Staff were friendly enough and it has a nice bar as part of the hotel. The biggest downside is the noise!! The noise from local bars travel down the street and went on to all hours. After that it was glass collection and deliveries. Ok hotel if you don't need much sleep.
